Breland was not a yes man on Wilder's team. The other guy, Deas, doesn't seem to be that smart about boxing, and the in-corner advice was quite atrocious.
Bottom line though, Tyson Fury ended any question of who is the superior fighter. Fury can beat Wilder in different ways, and already has.Comment

Wilder did the right thing because Breland wasn't making any progress with Wilder. Wilder still doesn't know how to throw a proper jab to set up his Power shots. And with his reach he should be able to keep better distance. Wilder doesn't know how to throw good body shots or uppercuts so yeah. Breland just wasn't improving Wilder's skill from a fight to fight basis.Comment

So shouldn't Deas be gone too by that logic?Wilder did the right thing because Breland wasn't making any progress with Wilder. Now I like Whyte but he has no authority to talk. Like the quote above refers to, he dumped his trainer and lost.
Now I am not someone who says that boxers should not change their trainers if they feel it will advance their careers but Whyte should shut his mouth.Comment
