Has Crawford had a PPV event sell over 300K ?

    Yeah, that part.

Floyd was in big fights and would never get dropped by Mean Machine.

      There are levels to this.

        Pretty simple stuff.

Yeah “simple”. It’s close to gibberish at this point.

        Also not true at all.

Because he simply doesn’t have that “IT” factor both inside and outside the ring. Floyd’s persona outside the ring isn’t/wasn’t all that, but his in-ring skills are what prevailed him to be who he is today. Floyd was just all-around more gifted. His punching precision, accuracy, ring IQ sets him apart. Crawford is very skilled and excellent at switching stance, but he gets away with a lot of fundamental mistakes. I’ll give him one thing over Floyd, he looks to be more aggressive and instinctive in terms of seek and destroy, but again, that would be a disadvantage against a precise master sharpshooter like, Floyd Mayweather.

I just don’t see anyone who stands out in today’s Welterweight division. No one “WOW” me like prime Mayweather or Pacquiao once did. I know I’m sounding like an “old man yells at cloud” fan right now, but to me all of those top guys, Spence, Crawford, Porter, Thurman, Danny, etc, look basic. Skilled, but basic. Nothing really stands out about them. As Floyd would say “They’re all straight up and down, no special effects.”

Porter: very strong and aggressive, but he always smother his own work and is the least accurate puncher in the top WW division.

Danny: Great chin, solid puncher, but not consistent enough at following through when the going gets tough.

Thurman: Athletic explosive puncher, decent in a lot of areas, but limited as an all-around boxer.

Spence: Very mechanical and sharp puncher, good inside fighter, decent at fighting on the outside, but has basic footwork, defense, and ring IQ.

Crawford: Excellent switch-hitter, solid offense output and variation, good ring IQ and footwork, but has basic defense, suspect chin, and tends to punch too wide.

Boxing is on the decline, and there's a severe lack of starpower, including at WW. You can only become a superstar by fighting other stars. Crawford's only chance at superstardom was to fight Pacquaio 2 years ago, then to either make a CW fight against Lomachenko, or to see if he can move up to 160 and fight Canelo.

Fight vs. Spence is a good one, but a) Spence f'd it up by being a drunk, and b) Spence alone isn't enough.

                  Will NEVER be Mayweather

Bud does have the Work Ethic he is always in Shape however, doesn't have that "IT" Factor. Lets be fair, Arum and Top Rank have the golden touch and they have eye for talent they know who have "IT". Arum helped make Oscar, Mayweather, Cotto, Pacquiao and the list can go on and on...into STARS!

Arum has indeed tried, in fact he likely has lost money trying to make Crawford a bigger name and a bigger star and it is just not working. A lot of it has nothing to do with Bud Competition and not fighting PBC guys, a lot of it is his very Dry personality. If he had the Personality and the Charisma of his Trainer BoMac, Bud Crawford would be a much bigger star and a bigger Draw

Spence Jr doesn't have a big Personality either and he is kinda Dry but he is a very Approachable guy, that guy appreciate his fans and will take pictures and sign autographs with everybody he can before leaving the arena. Also will talk with any and everybody report, writer, youtuber commentator or whatever big or small. Bud Crawford on the other hand is not approachable and very stand offish and acts as if he doesn't even see his fans and he doesn't speak to a lot of writers and reporters and youtube guys so in return a lot of them turn around and bash him because of that and I can't really say I blame them honestly. Guys was supporting Bud and was trying to help make him a bigger star by keeping the Conversation going about him but he disrespect one of those guys for no reason and yes in this ERA those guys on youtube that New Style of Media are extremely IMPORTANT especially during this Pandemic right now

Floyd did the work before he was 33 THEN he coasted. Crawford hasn’t done anything but coast and now he’s 33
