The correct answer to this question is because he's not with PBC.

That's where all the top welterweights are. Top Rank is doing absolutely nothing for him.

Also consider that Mayweather is a legit sized welterweight and Pac is not. Im not a fan of catchweights

Pac also didn't threaten to retire multiple times to avoid stiff competition. He also fought Margarito.

He also never had Vegas as home turf and himself has been blatently robbed more than once.

Just like Canelo, people appreciate the skill but these dudes always have to play these ****ing games. Its pretty annoying when people celebrate that fact.

Mayweather became a “legit” ww in his 30’s and according to ‘legit” ww Keith Thurman he being mayweather doesn’t really belong in the ww division.

Threatening to retire has nothing to do with avoiding anyone that’s just an excuse by some to say just that.

Margarito was was not ducked by anyone he was never that good and there was legitimate reasons why the fight never happens it’s just business but when there a hated guy he must fight any and everyone regardless of what or he’s a ducker/cherry picker.

Mayweather is from Grand Rapids Michigan not Las Vegas but he like a lot of fighters just resides and trains there for obvious reasons.

This is not to praise mayweather or down grade pac but the double standards are just crazy to me. Just like ggg canelo. I will say Canelo actually dropped belts and did way more funny **** then people accuse mayweather of but gets half the backlash for it even tho he is vilified like a mf’r while ggg is praised which is crazy.

I know we’re all trying to fill that void looking for the next Mayweather or Pacquiao, but sorry, I don’t see any current fighter reaching those guys level. Loma and Canelo are good, but they’re still downgraded versions of those guys.

Mayweather controls the game from the outside as well. Crawford doesn't have such power. Crawford lets bob arum control his destiny and fights. That's the difference. Crawford is also not a very colourful character like mayweather.

Crawford a laid back guy... And lives on Top Rank island.

Floyd had a few signature wins b4 his Oscar. Crawford has what....Gamboa

Based on eye test Crawford is a Miguel Cotto level fighter

Very good and has shaky moments. Neither totally dominates their opponents

Difference being Cotto is tested against greats and is competitive with them

                Levels: Floyd/Roy > manny > ODLH/Alvarez > Cotto/Crawford

Very good but shy of great

Charisma, media smarts and boxing ability. He's a very good fighter but not on Floyd's level.

I think he can be the next Mayweather if he continue to duck prime opponents and control every fight and judges but right now he's not at floyd level.
