Usman just got a base pay of 500k on a PPV that sold over 1m. Ryan garcia thought 250k was too low for a fight with no gate. There’s no incentive to fight the best consistently because they’re already making bank for easy fights. So dana white is fûcking the fighters over but it allows him to give the fans what they want. We can’t have it both ways.
Problem is fighters in boxing are too greedy doe.
Promoters spend so much money on just the main card.
Undercards are nothing more than Dogshît.
Fans buy boxing PPV for essentially one fight. Unlike UFC.

Point to where that sht happens in boxing??? We ain't got no Ronda's. Bi@tch got exposed by a shty boxer.. LMFAO

Stick to your gay p@rn two dudes scissoring each other and tee bagging
When you fight everybody you lose.

Why do you think Manny Pacquaio has 7 losses in his career?

Because he was willing to fight guys like Marquez 4 times, Morales 3 times, Timothy Bradley 3 times, and guys like Jeff Horn & Floyd Mayweather in their home towns.

All the old school boxers like Sugar Ray Robinson and Willie Pep have 15-20 losses because there was no ducking back then.

And Holly Holm is one of the greatest women's boxers of all-time. Definitely top 5 or 10. Nothing shxtty about her. And she was undefeated when she beat Ronda.

      This.

I shouldn't have to work hard to be a fan of a sport

Sure, some people can appreciate the 'high level technique', but same applies to MMA. Some fans will appreciate the high level jiu-jitsu.

What currently separates UFC and makes it better than boxing is the frequency of the fights and one sanctioning body. There's one champ per division, and they fight 2-3x as frequent as boxers do. I like Joshua, Golovkin, Valdez, Canelo, Loma, etc. But those guys probably have.. 8 fights total in the last 12 months? UFC now is what boxing was in the 90s.
The biggest names in UFC fight as frequently as the biggest names in boxing do.

Khabib, McGregor, Jones all fight once or twice a year

One sanctioning body is what makes UFC good

But still, no UFC fight big or small can compare with a big boxing fight as rarely as they happen these days

The electricity in the air, the anticipation, the fight week

Fans just wanna see guys take punches but could care less about how they're set up AFTER they can no longer fight. But be the same people who express empathy when the fighter they grew up watching can't speak, has brain damage, an is financially unstable.
Exactly. Those guys in the ufc are being ****d by white no Vaseline style. “Fans” couldn’t care less though. This is why I don’t fault any athletes who are “selfish” and put themselves and their best self interests first. The tyts what the owners do and that’s definitely what the fans do.

Joking aside, I get it. UFC is a better product top to bottom. But boxing fans are stubborn, bitter old weirdos.

I had the opposite experience. Watched UFC during Anderson Silva's prime in late 2000's but slowly got bored. Didnt like how the fight ended after a knock out, they should give them a ten count at least. The floor grappling also got boring.

I LOVE BOXING, that said. UFC is far better. I’d rather pay for ufc. I rarely get let down.

Skill level at what boxing? It's called mixed martial arts. You're gonna say a black belt in BJJ, an Olympic Wrestler or someone who's studied Muay-Thai in Thailand for years unskilled?

They technically have more "skills" than a boxer as they have to master numerous forms of combat.

Great point on the bolded.I grew up watching boxing , I also got into MMA from UFC 1 when I was 13.I like and watch both and your point on the undercards is spot on.UFC stacks their main cards where you have a chance of getting 2/3 really good fights. They have cards where the main event was a dud , but I still felt satisfied cause the undercard was just so damn good, even their prelims have really good fights .
