After getting into UFC, boxing has become so boring

There are plenty of main stay top fighters in the UFC and always has been.

Of course boxers cherry pick their way to a 30-0 record so we have to watch some guys fight for 10 years before they really have to fight.

Been saying that for a good while now, I've always been an advocate of letting fighters fight at their level. More often than not we see fighters fight many level below their actual level, you can argue that hampers a career.

One mentality of boxing fans is writing a boxer off after he loses, those sort of fans play into this ****** idea of enabling the nothing fights after nothing fights. Rarely do we say that this loss can be a learning experience because we have so many idiotic asswipes on social media mocking pro fighters.

myself and my brother watch both, there is no hiding 'building your career' in the ufc fighting bums and then getting a belt and then declaring yourself a true champ while avoiding anyone who doesn't fit the profile, if boxing could gt its matchmaking in order that would be great we might actualy know who is the best in the division, u know who is in the ufc but if u don't like wrestling some matches can be a bit tiresome, stand em up they cry plus im not sure how many of their athletes are actually clean, lot of em look roided to me

U mean Ryan Bader and Brandon Vera who both were dropped from the UFC?

Vera is nothing special for sure, he lost 5 out of his last 6 fights in the UFC.

Bader is a very good fighter though, he won 7 out of his last 8 fights in the UFC. He wasn't dropped from the UFC - he was a free agent and took a better offer from Bellator.

Big Boxing fights seem more 'real' and significant

For example when Fury and Wilder fought, it was in the back of many people minds that they're fighting for the title Muhammad Ali once held. Did you get the same feeling when Stipe and Cormier fought just recently?

I feel like UFC is not taken completely seriously by a lot of people compared to boxing. Partly not their fault because it's a young sport and doesn't have history like boxing does but still.

I mean for example when I sometime read sherdog, these dudes claim MMA has a few GOATs. They say 'Joe Jones is one of the GOATs'. Lol how can I take people who claim to know anything about fighting seriously when they something like this?

No not for those guys and I doubt anyone did. There can be more of a 'grand' feeling to big heavyweight boxing events, but there was incredible electricity and anticipation for both McGregor vs Diaz II and Khabib - both of which easily outperformed any big boxing fight in terms of buys etc.

Well MMA is a much younger sport than Boxing obviously, so what you're witnessing when you watch UFC is history being made every time. the sport is developing at an insane pace right in front of our eyes.

I would say UFC generally has a more 'cool' feeling and boxing at its best is incredible of course, but the norm is that it's an old sport. That's the feeling I get.

Jon jones is definitely one of the greatest mma fighters of all time, he could even be the best.

Shaking my head at those guys, they're the reason why boxers face bums for 95% of their careers.

The UFC HW division is at one of its weaker points while HW boxing has gotten big again. Go back before the Fury/AJ/Wilder resurgence and HW MMA felt far more relevant than Wlad fighting guys like Wach in Germany.

Its because practically everyone agrees that the Mt Rushmore is Jones, GSP, Anderson and Fedor but nobody agrees on how to rank them. Its not that they misunderstand the term.

I've felt that way for a year or 2 now, its upsetting because I just want to see the fights we should be getting. Too much waiting, marinating makes no sense for the fans perspective we dont need it.

Even though the world titles have decreased in prestige in the sport boxing, they are still more prestigious then the UFC titles which in all honesty? Look and project the same kind of image that you see in the WWE.

'You have independently, picked up on what I was alluding to? 'Every single fighter inside the UFC seems to be a all-time great, or 1-2 fights away from becoming a all-time great' THIS is how they are promoted. The commentators/presenters are incessantly overly dramatic 'Exactly like in the WWE, I am sure other people have also picked up on this'.

Where as in the sport of Boxing? fans/professionals inside the sport are extremely self critical, it takes a lot for fighters to gain universal respect and accreditation 'This is why the big fights in boxing feel more real, and are more real'.

Cowboy Cerrone has lost 5 fights in a row and he is still getting used in televised fights with no objection from fans. It’s cool they don’t drop off a fighter after their first loss but it has gotten a little ridiculous over there.
