After getting into UFC, boxing has become so boring

Pretty much.

When it comes to tv ratings, UFC on ESPN massively overshadows Top Rank on the same network, ****s all over PBC on Showtime, and does comparable viewers to PBC on Fox even though Fox has a wider reach in America than ESPN. As far as international viewing figures, no real way to find out, but i'll go out on a limb and guess that the UFC does much better numbers globally than any singular boxing promotions, because its a more internationally recognizable brand than PBC, Top Rank etc and tours all over the world frequently.


As for PPV, the UFC already started being the more consistent draw in the late 00s. Its just that at the time Floyd and Pac were giving boxing 2-3 big PPVs each year, while nothing else in boxing could break 500k. In the 5 years since Floyd/Pac happened the UFC has broken a million buys on PPV 10 times, boxing has done it 5, and one of those was Floyd vs an MMA fighter.

The UFC has much stronger online engagement too on social media, Youtube etc.

This is precisely why people clutch to "oh but boxers make more money doe".

how about: a mixed boxing ufc card, ufc with rounds that you cannot be taken down in to bring in more viewers possibly or maybe I shoud try to stay ontopic here, people get tired of sports stuff, sometimes for a while sometimes for years but a fighter to excite will arrive in boxing and its on again

Ufc seem to be doing a lot right. Where as boxing seems to be doing a lot wrong.

Hardcore Boxing fans tend to ***** on the UFC be it ignorance and or having an "allegiance" to Boxing, but being a hardcore fan on Boxing for over 30 years I have 0 qualms saying the UFC are killin it right now. Understandably, The UFC is an entire company / "Federation" where all the fighters are under one umbrella. But that being said, even with this pandemic going on, they're been putting on HIGH LEVEL fights as if there isn't a pandemic going on.

Just an FYI - The Charlo Brothers card and Tank vs Leo Santa Cruz are both on the same night as 2 BIG UFC match ups. Trust and believe you're very likely not going to hear "Official" buys for the Charlo card or Tank vs Leo. They're both getting crushed. It's not a knock at all to the PBC / Boxing because I'm watching both BUT from a commercial standpoint, those UFC PPVs are going to generate a lot more revenue. Look what happened with the Canelo v Kov fight.....getting upstaged by Masvidal v Nate...to the point of them showing the fight in the Arena PRIOR to the Canelo v Kov fight. Imagine the UFC doing that for Boxing and the narrative that would've followed.
