They are just tired of the Loma fans who clearly are attracted to his being white and try to pretend it’s because of his skills.

These are many of the same posters that for years never celebrated highly skilled fighters. They preferred power punchers.

I think it’s fair to point out the switch and inquire why they did so.

If you think Loma’s actions to make this fight happen are a “loss”, your mind is not calibrated.

Loma will get no credit for this win and all the other “contenders” including Davis will continue to avoid at all costs.
I agree Loma didn’t lose anything. Bob made him look great here.

Just one point.Davis will fight Loma when it’s convenient for him. Very similar to how Loma went past Berchelt at 130, where he has been dominant, but now wants to bring him up to 135 to fight.

You can’t be the kind of person that only allows Loma to exercise his a side power and delay potentially tough fights and not a black boxer like Tank.

mikey beat salido....ducked no one and was later beaten soundly by an unbeaten WW champ who is p4p rated and many feel could move to 154 or even higher(yes some have alluded to him fighting canelo)

        those are facts

i dont doubt that loma gave up 300k to get lopez to 1.5...i was really dis*****g the claim that he gave up 800k to get lopez to 2 mil....no way was loma taking that kinda haircut and a guy from team lopez came out and said that was pure fantasy

props to loma..i dont dislike the guy...he has, and always has had, way more of my respect than golovkin

          • From where I sit, one fighter was interested in legacy here. The other fighter was more interested in scrabbling for more coin. The latter of the two is understandable, to some degree, as he's young, it is a profession after all. But one side was clearly more focussed on legacy than the other -- that seems undeniable if you are looking at it objectively.

unforutnately thats what youll get around here

tank will have had his first ppv by the age of 25...and has sold out 12k in multiple cities......its like these guys suddenly want tank to take on the career of a 32 year old fighter who needs to fight loma asap...the same way they wanted canelo to just be older so he had to fight golovkin a couple of years before he did

these younger guys arent going to change their careers for older or aging fighters...these guys will call out "waiting them out" or "waiting for them to get older"......tank is building a profile and career where if he were to fight loma late next year hed be the a-side to a 33 year old fighter thats been p4p rated for years....think about that? a 26 year old kid not rated on p4p lists being an A-side to a 33 year old guy who sits atop p4p lists and has been on them for years

these guys want the black fighters/pbc fighters/canelo to rush their careers to cater to b-side aging fighters...they want to magically age younger guys to cater to their heroes...

teo is 22....what kind of resume/legacy should he have by now?

id say gunning for a guy who is #1 or #2 on just about every p4p list at age 22 is going for legacy....he just wanted to squeeze a few 100k extra out of the deal and he did it....

you dont think lopez wanting this fight at age 22 has anything to do with legacy? but a 32 year old p4p rated guy going after a 22 year old kid does?

id say its a legacy fight for both guys... i think teo is legit...and a tough fight for anyone right now..and of course loma is loma...its a great fight and legacy builder for either guy

So, you pick Lopez to win by KO, yet will give little credit to Lomachenko if he wins? What kind of shit is that?

                  • I'm excited for it. It will do at least 20,000 pay per view buys.

Exactly, but he would avoid Loma.
