ESPN displaying clear distasteful and unprofessional bias for privileged Vasily Lomachenko. How does the editor allow such rubbish to be published? Calling Vasily Lomachenko a champion and Teofimo Lopez a 'title-holder' demonstrates preference.

The one that will need a '' Umbrella' is Bumchenko, when Teofimo's fist of lighting and thunder starts raining down on Vasily.

I agree with you to a great extent regarding the low grade for this victory over Vasily Lomachenko and what the win means in the early career of Teofimo Lopez.

I cant consider Vasily a great win, I'm with you on that. A prime reason is how the massive underdog bum Orlando Salido exposed Lomachenko. If a washed bum Orlando Salido got it done, why cant Teofimo Lopez?

However, because Teofimo is sooo green, its a decent win for the lack of experience at world level.

Don’t blame the fighters because “fans” are a bunch of emotional children who are as dumb as rocks. Nobody with common sense decided to get on an emotional roller coaster based on the negotiations and the rumors flying around.

No, he has realized that he has no other viable options. ESPN probably laughed at that verdejo BS when arum went back to them after lopez refused their supposedly “take it or leave it, final offer”. Loma wouldn’t have gotten 3m to fight verdejo or some other nobody, and probably not even 2m. Most people here judged this thing from a loma-fanboy perspective and they couldn’t see that loma needs this fight probably more than lopez. If the fight fell through it was a big L for loma and top rank.

Hats off to Loma for making this fight happen. The haters will hate and the purists will appreciate a man putting legacy before money. Loma's resume is the best first 16 fight resume ever in the history of professional boxing. Nothing more could be asked of the man. He's gone out, ready to go out on his sword everytime. Those that 'understand' boxing will write in the annals of boxing what Loma did here this week with praise. Non of the nay sayers and little minds chirping thier hyperbolic but...but...but...will have any bearing. You say "appreciate lomas skills " and all they hear is you telling them that a white man is better than them.

Its like, I dont like Canelo but I appreciate his skill. What gets me about Canelo is that he's that good but still needs to do sketchy **** to win. Ie, home field score cards. Weight stipulations. Catchweights. Etc.

They couldn't even give you a reason they shouldn't like Lomachenko. Is Lomachenko a diva? How does a diva gift you money to fight him? Lomachenko has a poor resume? Name some fighters who he didn't fight that would have made it better?

But of course they don't have these answers because they're too afraid to say their truth.
