Jesus, I just posted that message. Do you just wait all day in Canelo threads to respond to people you disgree with? I know people are home now but do you seriously have nothing else to do with your time?

To answer your question, did you even read my entire post? Here's the last sentence:

He's nowhere close to Chavez Sr., Zarate, Olivares, Marquez. Maybe one day but certainly not right now.

P4P is debatable like anything and best to come out of México? Not for me, although with how marketing, internet and the way people get transfixed with the use of social media platforms then I would say near on most popular.
Talk about BS semantics. You claim his team aren't swerving fighters but then you say they are "carefully selecting" those fights to maximise revenues.

Sounds like you know what the truth is but you can't reconcile it with the fact that you're a huge Canelo fan.

I still think he's a great fighter but his achievements have been blown out of proportion because of his bias fan base making too much of him rising in weight to fight at SMW and LHW. He fought a eurolevel fighter at SMW in Fielding which proved nothing and he fought an aging, alcoholic in Kovalev at LHW. On top of that, when he was at LMW, he was cheating to get down in weight and still fought at catch weights. This doesn't make him the best Mexican boxer ever. He's nowhere close to Chavez Sr., Zarate, Olivares, Marquez. Maybe one day but certainly not right now.
Well, it's pretty easy to slice and dice fighters' careers. There is no shortage of angles to to attack from. "He fought this guy too early, that guy too late, got hometown judging in that fight, should have KO'd that guy sooner, he acted like a prima donna in that fight"...blah, blah, blah. Asterisks abound in any fighter's career that is worth talking about. By that rationale, no fighter should be considered great. You criticize Canelo for not fighting any great fighters in their prime (other than Floyd) and then proceed to claim that he is nowhere close to the likes of guys like Zarate and Olivares. How many HOF fighters in their primes did those guys fight and beat? Do you know anything at all about their careers? Which active fighters, by your estimation, have more impressive records than Canelo?

After your idiotic comments about COVID-19 I no longer take you seriously. Thus, there is no reason to reinforce my argument against an imbecile who doesn't accept or understand reality. End of story.

Heads up. This guy is the absolute Zen Master of strawman and ad hominem attacks. When he gets stumped (almost every time), he immediately makes some lame attempt to dismiss your well-reasoned argument as the rantings of an idiot, a child-******er or (his favorite) a crazy Trump supporter. He is intellectually incapable of sustaining a reasoned argument. Check his most recent reply to me for a good example.

Zarate was a knockout artist with limited ability. He came up way short when he stepped up in competition. He was KO's by Zaragoza, and Wilfredo Lopez and lost to Pintor and Fenech. And yes I am old enough to have seen those fights. As for Olivares, he was knocked out by Danny (Little Red Lopez) who in turn was destroyed twice by Salvador Sanchez. Olivares was also knocked out by Pedroza. And let us not forget he was also knocked out by Ignacio Madrid (who?) and that all-time great Rafael Gandaria (Ganda Who?) He was KO'd and totally embarrassed by Alexis Arguello, as well as KO'd by Rafael Herrera and Art Hafey. Plus he had a bunch of other non-KO losses. If Canelo had his miserable record, he would be rightfully be considered a journeyman boxer rather than elite. Oh yes, I saw Olivarez fight too. ATG he was not. These guys who post nonsense are clueless and are proud to display their ignorance.

                      The best

Canelo has fought the best ELITE fighters all the others are just coming up and are still not on his Canelos level. Open your eyes Nacho before you open your mouth. Why would Canelo want to fight or destroy a young fighter coming up if that fighter hasn't proven anything. Nobody gave Canelo the big fights early until he earned them by climbing up the ladder. Not just Canelo but Mayweather and GGG and Jacobs and the other elite fighters.
