When you make a good point I concede, such as when you say why would Pac fight Campbell when he could fight De La Hoya. Or when someone says why would Pac fight Baby Bull when he could rematch JMM.

Those are rock solid arguments.

But telling me that David Diaz was a bigger money fight than Campbell without any proof, or comparing that somehow to Floyd-Gatti, isn't cutting it.

How did he choose David Diaz above Campbell if the Diaz fight was already agreed before Campbell was even champion? You’ve literally contradicted yourself within the same post.

I said that the winner of Campbell vs Juan Diaz was never an option.

That Pac avoided EITHER of them in favor of David Diaz who was inferior to BOTH.

That shouldn't have been difficult for you to understand.

Campbell beat Baby Bull for the unified (WBA, IBF, WBO) A WEEK BEFORE David Diaz beat Montano on the Pac-JMM undercard.

There's no reason why Pac couldn't have fought Campbell next.

He chose the easier guy with one belt over a guy with three titles.

Pac never intended to fight Nate Campbell or Juan Diaz.

David Diaz was promised a fight vs Pac BEFORE his fight with Montano on the undercard of the second JMM vs Pac fight. All he had to do was win, which he did by majority decision.

All this speculation about Campbell being unavailable due to a fight with Guzman is also nonsense- Campbell had just won the title and was allowed a non-mandatory defense.

Pac chose David Diaz instead of tougher competition against Campbell, who held unified titles.

Period.

So what’s wrong with taking on Diaz 1st then Campbell later? Both held titles and Diaz fight was easier to make, way easier.

There’s also a reason why Campbell-Guzman was made. Guzman was also chasing after Pac. So why would Guzman go for Campbell if he doesn’t think Pac-Campbell wasn’t possible in the future?
