Not really moving the goalposts per se. I didn't really remember the timeline of this which is why I am asking.

So far we have Juan Diaz calling Pacquiao out in November of 2007...Pacquiao choosing to fight JMM instead in March 2008 (can't blame him there, no brainer)...and Nate Campbell beating Juan Diaz for the belts in March 2008.

Since Pac and Campbell fought in the exact same month their schedules lined up perfectly. That would have been the time to schedule their fight. But Pac picked David Diaz instead.

I conceded that De La Hoya was bigger money over Campbell. And that JMM was bigger money of Baby Bull.

But David Diaz beating a shot Erik Morales who had lost 4 of his last 5 fights didn't make him some big draw.
