Did anyone ever dominate Juan Manuel Marquez like Floyd did?

That shouldnt have been a split decision Bradley won that fight 8-4 imo and should have been a UD . That's the closest anyone came to dominating Jmm besides mayweather . But still not comparable money shut marquez out completley.

Really? With the point deductions on Marquez's part and a pretty certain 7-5 8-4 in Chris John's favour imo he did very well against him. Much like Mayweather he used stick and move tactics very well to offset Marquez and keep his output lower than usual. Plus they were both counter punchers waiting on each other to throw half the time.

Without the point deductions it was a very close fight . But again I agree john won that fight . But a close fight if you ignore the scorecards . John won by a round or two . Obviously the deductions changed that , but I felt it was a competitive fight that john deserved to win. Also in my first post I meant to say " alot of people thought marquez won if it wasnt for the low blows " .

Well to be fair those would mostly be Mexican and Hispanic fans. Or Marquez fans in general. I'm a neutral observer and saw it the same way as yourself so I think it's fair to assume we remained somewhat impartial. Floyd did outbox Marquez the best but it was well outside his optimal weight so I don't know if many should count it much like people don't count Spence vs Mikey that much.

Yet Marquez went on to beat Pacquiao twice at that same weight. (I felt he won the 3rd fight as well as the 4th.)

This weight class excuse is such bs, what on Earth would Marquez done any different? He couldn’t live with the movement and speed of floyd, he struggles badly with slick boxers. I’m glad Bradley shut this piss drinker up, I’m sure he cried after that fight too

Any rational person that watched that fight will tell you that skills won the fight.

It was not like Floyd was imposing his size or Marquez was consistently landing while having no effect on Floyd.

                    That's what I'm saying.

Floyd's weight played no part in the outcome of the fight. It was not a factor at all.

                      Yeah or he probably doesn’t.
