    nobody missed weight

they renegotiated the contract 2 weeks prior to the fight

the penalty was $500k per pound, to the commission... $1m total

but re-negotiating the contract meant that Marquez was paid $300k per pound extra, so $600k total... saving Mayweather $400k, and the commission got nothing

U are correct imo aswell . I've never seen marquez shut out like that either . I mean the closest has got to be Timothy Bradley and marquez was competitive with Bradley ( some people thought Marquez won , but I dont see how on earth anyone could think that , bradley let marquez lead and won 8 rounds imo ).

My post here is simply stating my opinion / answer to the the question stated in the post . Iam in no means trying to get involved in any floyd pac debates here haha ( I have not read thru the thread , but I know where some posters are gonna take this topic lol ).

Styles make fights.... you idiots don't know this yet? That's why Pacquiao was able to obliterate Hatton while Hatton gave Floyd a rough go of it in their fight.

Also, Bradley clearly beat JMM 8-4/9-3.

Well how many times has Marquez fought a guy he had to move up two weight classes for? Also fighting a guy whose fanbase swears hes small for 147 yet couldn't honor the catchweight

No its not lol, Hatton was unbeaten and super confident when he fought Floyd and was in his words the best shape of his life its in his book.

Now the Manny version was beaten, lost his wife and family with a ******* habit, had suicidal thoughts sacked his long time trainer and employed Mayweather Snr. His first fight after Floyd he was nearly beat by a retired cab driver Lascano then a win over Pau;li and then Manny.

If you cant see the totally different versions youre not looking.

Floyd fans li ke saying Floyd fights better versions? Well you can hardly say Floyd beat a better version of jmm. Who cares about that win.
The nel o win is nothing to boast about also. Nel o was green had no outstanding wins under belt, barely had even a good win under belt

Lost his wife? His wife was literally in the fight crying for her husband who was laid out on the canvas by Pacquiao. Why are you lying?

Marquez always knew that bout was a welterweight fight

apparently, he always knew that Mayweather could come in at 147, but there was a weight penalty above 144

that is why Team Mayweather and Team Marquez refused to discuss it, and that is why Team Marquez did not complain... the media came up with the catchweight, but apparently that fight was always listed as a welterweight fight...

By Robert Morales - Welterweight champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley turned 38 on Sept. 7. That means unless he turns out to be another Bernard Hopkins - ageless - his window for a couple of more high-profile fights might be slowly starting to close. But Richard Schaefer, CEO of Golden Boy Promotions - which promotes Mosley - on Tuesday said 2010 could be a good year for Mosley if he is able to defeat Andre Berto on Jan. 30 at Mandalay Bay. That fight is not yet 100 percent consummated - although Schaefer said it could be getting there - but a win over Berto could springboard Mosley to the fight he covets with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Schaefer said Mosley, should he beat Berto, figures to have another fight in either April or May on HBO and then a fight later on in the year that is earmarked for HBO pay-per-view. It sounds like Schaefer is thinking along the lines of that pay-per-view fight being against Mayweather, with whom Schaefer said he has a good working relationship.

I have seen an article that explained the whole thing in better detail but I can't find it

Tim Bradley did. Was pretty much a shut out and can’t be any weight excuses either
