Defeating Mosley in 2010 was a really good win. Defeating Mosley, pre Forrest, circa 99-2001, would’ve been for the ages.

No. We saw what happens when a prime Shane faces a guy with elite boxing ability. We saw it twice in fact with both of the Forest fights. Prime Shane vs Prime Floyd @ 135 is a 50/50 fight, IMO..

but Mosely was coming off the biggest win of his career, against one of the most feared Welters who everyone was saying Floyd was ducking.

Also, Mosely was still good enough to go on and be an opponent for Pac after Floyd was done with him.

My only hesitation here is that there was a bit of a lay off for Mosely following his destruction of Margarito.

But I still feel this was a great win that Floyd gets very little credit for
Mosley's best win was not Margarito, clearly it was ODLH. He was also coming off 16 months inactivity I believe. It's a very good win or course but is it that good? Nope.

i remember watching the shane-margarito fight live. leading into it, it really felt like shane was finally "passing the torch" to tony, who was ruling the roost at welter.. and in shanes prior fight, he let a ricardo mayorga hang around way too long, a mayorga who already had been drilled by oscar, tito, etc..

in that margarito fight tho it really looked like vintage shane. from the get go he was explosive and seemed to have dynamite in his hands. margs was on top of the world after stopping UNDEFEATED cotto.. and shane made margs look like an utter pinata. shane was older when he fights floyd, but held a legitimate portion of the welterweight crown, and rightfully held a spot in the PFP ranks after winning the title again.

i give floyd credit for beating shane. mosley will always be one of my favorite fighters and i acknowledge that
Did you conveniently forget the whole issue with the hand wraps in the Margarito fight which definitely impacted how Tony would perform for the most obvious reasons.

Mosely won a close decision against ODH....
He dominated and Knocked Out Margarito. Margarito was coming off a bigger win then anything ODH ever had at 147

I remember Floyd making excuse after excuse as to why he shouldn’t fight Mosley. Then when Mosley was out for a year, he jumped on it. Everyone knows Mosley is a juice head, and fighters cycle off 2 or so months before a fight after months of juicing. When Berto pulled out Oldsley was forced into back to back training camps with little to no juice, and probably tanked his hormones, thus the flimsy weakling that showed up.

What’s worse, I think this was the fight Mayweather popped three times and got a TUE.

What the **** are you saying man? De La Hoya has a better resumé than any of the chumps mentioned so far in this thread. Incredible levels of delusion on display by yourself.

When did that happen? I distinctly remember Cheatarito dropping a decision to Paul Williams during this time frame - so exactly when was Cheatarito allegely the #1 WW in the world again?
