James Toney got beat up by Dave Tiberi and probably should have lost to Reggie Johnson.

LaMotta lost to a plethora of average to decent fighters, like many fighters at the time.

McCallum lost to Sumbu Kalambay, who was far from a bad fighter but certainly not in another class from Golovkin in any way.

Winky Wright lost to Fernando Vargas and drew with Jermain Taylor.

    Oscar lost to Felix Sturm.

Trinidad got put on his ass a lot by worse fighters and went to war with them.

Most people think Golovkin beat Alvarez in both fights, so listing him is weird.

Pavlik got his ass kicked by Sergio Martinez.

Taylor's record speaks for itself, the guy could barely survive Cory Spinks and lost to Arthur Abraham.

Arthur Abraham lost to Robert Stieglitz.

Seriously, the idea that Golovkin couldn't beat any of these guys is crazy. He could beat many of them, and I'd pick him to beat most of the more modern fighters on the list like Taylor, Pavlik, Oscar, Abraham, and Trinidad.

And as for you ****** argument that he didnt demolish good competition...lmfao. Hardly ANYONE demolishes competition at the highest level and if they did then they would be worth of ATG.

Did Canelo demolish not top 25 all time bum GGG? Did Canelo demolish Jacob's? Nope and nope.

You also want to claim that personal cards dont matter right? You must be like all the other true casuals who didnt score the fight but still have an opinion right? Or you sporting that tin foil hat claiming that the media was on GGGs side and fake news?

Well news for you man, an overwhelming majority had GGG winning the first fight EASY. The 2nd fight? Most people also had GGG winning but this time by a slimmer margin.

How many of those same people had Canelo winning? None. More people agreed that the 2nd fight should have been a draw than Canelo winning.

Any boxing fan who isnt a fangirl who watched those fights witnessed GGG get robbed blind twice.

Compare that to the people who thought Jacob's or Derevychanko beat GGG. It's FAR less.

      I scored

      GGG/Canelo 1 8-4
      GGG/Canelo 2 7-5
      GGG/Jacob's 7-5 +KD
      GGG/Derevychanko 6-6 +KD

Weird how the world seems to agree with me but someone like me with my personal cards are still wrong
      Slow clap ……….

Great post. He's down again and won't be getting back up.

Canelo was 23 when he fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. Sergei Kovalev was 30 when he fought B-Hop. Conversely, GGG was a month away from 34 years old when he fought Danny Jacobs.
And that was ALL Bo**** fault. He made poor career decisions and ducked BJS, Charlo, Canelo and Cotto at CW in 2015, ducked Ward, Lara, Andrade and Dervenchenko.

That's why they call him Bumlovkin...just fights Bums. Hell he's set to fight another Bum which will make like 5/8 last opponents are Bums...what a career

You know GGG was pretty great since he has so many haters. GGG isnt perfect and I've yet to meet one guy here who thinks that. I dont get why these guys keep say that ****.

On the contrary look how far the"Canelo fans" need to go to prove their point. Every day there is a new thread. They say the same things over and over. Nothing is new.

The truth is GGG as a boxer is a HOF and possibly an ATG. It just depends how he finishes his career. Maybe he turns back the clock, maybe not. I dont think so. The big problem though was even though he had talent he definitely was mismanaged.

These ****** casual fan girls dont even know the sport. GGG has good fundamentals but isnt an elusive boxer or counter puncher which means squat. GGGs success for the majority of his career was defined by power, timing, workrate, stamina, and chin.

Wouldnt it be great to see GGG turn back the clock one last time to beat Canelo?
Then boom retire on the spot and ride into the sunset.

Thatd pretty much ATG him for me.

Totally agree. It's youngsters and dimwits who can't look at anything objectively. Bless their hearts.

And GGG is pretty much done at the P4P level as much as I hate to say it. He had way too many problems with his reflexes and timing in his last fight. If he couldn't get a decision over Conelo before, he certainly won't now.

                Cheers

He was by far a champion and top fighter in his weight class but he never proved to be the all time great beast HBO said he was. When surrounded by real contenders he looked very beatable.

Had nothing to do with age, it was his competition. He was good l, just not the “top 25,” all time great Middleweight Lampley and company attempted to create.
He also became the businessman that he criticised so vehemently as soon as Charlo and Andrade came into the division.

Forget 168, Erislandy Lara called him out in his own weight class during the time that he said everyone was ducking him and his excuse was "high risk - low reward".

GGG nuthuggers will make you think that Lara was blowing smoke and didn't really want to fight him, until you see tweets from even before GGG got the HBO push, before anyone knew him where Lara was actually watching his progress and congratulating him on his performances whilst stating how much he would love to fight him one day.
