He never gave other black fighters a title shot. I didn't say he didn't fight them. I said while he was champion he didn't. There's also the main black rival he didn't fight, Harry Wills. Just going to conveniently forget him? He was the most worthy of a title of anyone at the time.
Who will be talked about more in 100 years? Floyd Mayweather Jr or Manny Pacquiao?

johnson was ten years older than wills
just as wills was fighting mcvey, joe jeanette they were past their best as well, they had no choice but to fight each other so much because of the era they were inComment

Which ever one is American. Let’s be honestly. America only cares about Americans. When boxing dies off in America which is probably 60 years than it will be manny. But if Vegas continues to be the center point for boxing Floyd will always Trump manny. Most kids in America don’t follow boxing. So I know damn well they will not be doing it 100 years from now. Then all the memories of the two will be YouTube and google. It’s kinda hard to put somebody head of somebody they lost too. Popularity right now probably Manny. Memories Floyd right now.Comment

The guy sold the most PPVs ever. He will be relevant for a long long time. There is no way around it.Comment

Idk..... But it's funny that Pac-fans would be part of the reason if Floyd is remembered more.

Pacquiao. For one thing, someone will surpass 50-0 and probably with a more impressive resume. When fans look back on boxing they will look at highlight videos. Plenty of exciting videos to choose from for Manny, not so many for Floyd. No one is going to look back and remember the guy who chose to do just enough to win by UD.
Of course there will be fringe casuals who think Mayweather, same way there are fringe casuals who think Rocky Marciano was the greatest HW or fighter of all time because he went 49-0. If there are in fact any boxing fans in 100 years (I think the sport will be long banned before then) they'll want to see a real fighter who took on bigger challenges. That would be Pacquiao.
Both get equal shine imo but Louis a bit more due to his history making fights with Schmelling.
Pac will get a a lot more shine than Floyd because he will be known as one of the greatest ever, the most exciting ever with an insane back catalogue of fights and as well will be president of a country of 200 million.Comment
