    Let that sink in.
This is the most casual of the boxing forums. Most don't give a **** about Mayweather and never mention him while talking about Pac a lot more as he's currently relevant.

Both will be talked about. There isn't only one boxer talked about in any given era, otherwise the Fab 4 wouldn't have been a thing.

Pacquiao will be loved and respected in 100 years. Mayweather will not be.

There will be more warriors like Pacquiao though so people will speak of him less as time goes on.

There won’t be too many other guys going 50-0 (people won’t buy into the BS again) so that will keep people talking. The talks will revolve around why his wins were not all that great, but they will be talking about him nonetheless.

In 100 years time, probably as much, maybe 100 boxers will have retired unbeaten so why would any talk about floyd s career more than pacs?
Pac will be remembered more as he is only 8 division champ

It will be impossible to separate them. They're too closely tied and were by far the greatest boxers of their era.

if you think he was not a great boxer just lets me know you dont know much about the sport or its history

No he was very good, but to say he's a great when there have been many better fighters is a stretch. He also refused to fight the black fighters of his day as a champion, happier to feast on whites only competition. Big black mark in my book. And as I said he lost to a lot of guys who had no business beating him and he wasn't most famous for being a great boxer was my point. He was most famous for breaking the colour line and that is evidently true.

yet he still defeated the best black fighters of his era.....whats your point joe jeanette 7 times, denver ed martin, sam mcvey 3 times and sam langforde before holding the title

whatever point you are trying to make to belittle his accomplishments and skills isnt a being made....he was a great fighter...simple as that dont matter what he is famous for.....Ali is more famous for his personality outside of the ring, and avoiding military service to some doesnt change he was a great fighter

Well, if Pacquiao family members were running around poking sheit up catching charges, maybe he'll have more threads too

Well, I'm.pretty sure mayweather vs McGregor was an even bigger deal than mayweather vs Pac....that speaks volumes, in and of itself
