If it was just about the money, it would have been signed. Sadly, Margarito brings nothing else to the table besides a payday...

      THINK.
it was pretty obvious he was referring to Floyd as an elite fighter and the other non-champions as the contenders.

Judah isn't a consistent fighter, but when he's focused he is one of the best fighters at 147.

Judah has only lost to two all-time greats (Tsyzu and PBF), Cory Spinks who is now considered the best at 154 (and he beat him in a rematch), and got upset by a Baldomir who is a bit better than people initially gave him credit for. Compare that to Margarito's losses to Rodney Jones, some other random bums, and Daniel Santos (a top 5 jr. middle). You're telling me a loss to Rodney Jones or whatever his name is is not as bad or equal to a loss to Baldomir?
i WOULD RATHER HEAR A FIGHTER CRY CUZ PEOPLE ARE DUCKING HIM(LIKE WINKY WRIGHT, NOW LOOK AT HIM!) THAN HEAR A FIGHTER CRY ..ESPECIALY AN UDISPUTED "CHAMP" CUZ HE DIDNT TRAIN

        GARBAGE.

        • Margarito = paper champ who got beat by the man who vacated his so called championship belt. He deserves nothing but the role he is playing now a overhyped gatekeeper. Drop that garbage belt which current welters dont even need to be considered the undisputed champ of the division. Force fights and become the undisputed champ and then start calling P4P people out. They will more than likely take you seriously at that point. Other wise just boo hoo and cry some more just like your fans Marg and continue fighting the Manuel Gomez's of the world.

          • Charlie...no need for name-calling, man.

Boxing is about politics for Tony. Sure he has a belt, but NO one at 147 has ANY obligation to fight him, regardless of mandatory status. Most people do not even respect mandatories because the bodies are so corrupt. Sure, Tony should fight these guys and he does now and then, but these wins historically have NOT gotten Tony much credit with the fans who excuse Floyd.

Margarito was rated ONE at 147 by RING for a period of time, and that's ****in good enough for me, aside from the fact that I've seen him fight and I know he's a threat.

I don't see why Judah would want Tony, and I've never heard Judah even mention Tony. It's not as simple as Tony calling out Judah...and honestly who calls out a fighter that has just lost twice in a row?

Margarito did EXACTLY what he should have done. Had his camp put up the big bucks for a Floyd fight. Had his camp put up the big bucks for a Winky fight.

Both guys turned him down. I can't say they thought they'd lose, but all the evidence clearly points to Tony being a respected fighter at 147.
The idea that he won't get respect for beating other contenders is your opinion (which you are more than entitled to and I respect). In my opinion, beating another top ranked welter such as Collazo, Williams, or Quintana would prove something to me. It would prove that his best win (Cintron) wasn't simply an overhyped prospect. One prospect could be a fluke but if he beats two elite prospects I will give him his props. Similarly I thought Baldomir hadn't done much to deserve respect by beating a distracted Judah. But he beat another decent fighter (maybe not even as good as Judah) and it confirmed that his fight against Judah was not an accident.

                    What makes Tony legitimate already?

You have a problem with him fighting Judah after his losses (even though his last one was to the best fighter in sport), but no problem with the Six Heads fight after Mayorga had just got done tearing his ass up?
