But what I'm saying is if he did get to retained the belts without fighting AJ, who could he fight for equal money.

And I don't think Andy would have signed a contract that said AJ gets to pick the location of rematch. But if he did, then why is his manager complaining?
Do you honestly think they want a rematch? Do you think a rematch clause was inserted by Team Ruiz? Why wouldn’t his manager or promoter complain?

Who do you think the sanctioning bodies would rather have fighting for their vacate belts? The cashcow Joshua or Ruiz? If he refuses to fight then we would see what would happen to him. We cannot tell until we see he court actions and stuff.

When Ruiz got this fight he had nothing, so I totally believe he signed whatever was placed in from of him, he went from earning 250k on his PBC card to earning 5m against AJ, with 9m written in his contract for the rematch... Him and his team probably never thought he would win.

It's weird that Haymon signed off on all of the power being in Matchroom's hands in case of a rematch. They must have had no hope of a Ruiz victory. Shows how big of an upset this was.

Wilder fans (not Ruiz fans because 90% of these dummies didn't care about him before he beat Joshua and won't care about him if he loses), are true renaissance men.

Promoting, Negotiating, Economics, Law and now Human Rights Activism too.

There's nothing these guys aren't experts in.

They seem to get dumber and dumber with every year that passes.

I've heard the US Air Force are now using parachutes that open on impact.

but delays with Ruiz not fighting will lead to him losing titles as the relevant bodies take them away:

In the contract the question is does AJ have to wait for the rematch before he also can fight again. Or could he say fight Pulev for the stripped IBF title while still holding Ruiz to the rematch contract.

The Ruiz team have signed something they do not like as they are not getting massive money for the rematch: Where as if no rematch then Ruiz could be asking for a big money fight with Wilder win or lose he makes big money. Fighting AJ he has to win again to go on and make big money..

Hell yeah, they want a rematch because it makes the most money and with less risk than Wilder or Fury. A rematch is a huge fight.

And they knew the rematch clause was there because it usually contains the purse for the fight. And every body wants to know what I will get if I win. And I know Andy has a legal adviser. Every major boxer does.

Realistically how much can he make in a Wilder fight for all the marbles? He could win the Joshua rematch and fight Joshua in a third fight for more money than he would get in a Wilder fight. Fact is they all make peanuts against Wilder than they would make against Joshua. This is why they all want more money against Joshua.

Hell no, they don’t want the rematch. If they do they would not be dragging their feet. They are bind to one, now imagine they had NO binding contract, how much do you think they would make from a Joshua fight? 50m? This is why they aren’t happy.
