He wasn't competitive at all. Not in any aspect of the fight.
He was for all practical purposes dehydrated and sick. Mayweather wouldn't do the fight without the catchweight for a reason.

Canelo was against the rail already at 154, at 152 he could not properly rehydrate to fighting condition. In the ring at about 172 normally, he was a weak 165 that night.

Read the quote directly from Canelo a few posts prior to yours.

Canelo himself said he thought the extra speed from the lower weight would be an advantage, and that he didn't have to work very hard to make the catchweight.

      Just let it go.

I'm not sure what difference the cw made...canelo's inexperience played a more significant role imo. if the cw is viewed negatively, mayweather did it to himself...he should have just fought him at 154. to those saying the 2 pounds made no difference etc...they obviously made a difference to Floyd, or else he wouldn't have asked for it.

It's all head games for Floyd.

He makes as many demands as he thinks he can get away with because he's the A side. Catchweights, special gloves, Floyd's choice of location, etc.

It doesn't mean he doesn't think he could win without them. He's just taking every advantage available to him, which is smart.

WTF do you think he was going to say BEFORE the fight? Don't waste your money on this fight, I doubt I'll be very good?

23 means nothing Canelo was a pro since he was a teen. Hell Mike Tyson was borderline washed-up by the time he was 23.

Every fan of every boxer Floyd defeated has a way to erase the defeat from the record books.

Floyd is going to be the first boxer to go into the HOF for winning 50 fights but somehow only having a record of 0-0.

If it was a close fight then maybe the weight could have won Canelo an extra round or two but it wasn't close.

Also I don't buy Canelo was green. 40 professional fights in isn't green. The same people who say Canelo was green also say Floyd was ducking Thurman who at the time had only 20+ fights. This is evidence that whoever Floyd fights people will hate on.

                      Ok but no amateur career.

Others turn pro with 100+ amateur fights...but he wasnt green.
