So On fight night it would have been a 152 pounder versus a 172 pounder and you think a catch weight wouldn’t be fair?

Floyd fans like to make out it's a great win but the fact Floyd needed a cw against a green inexperienced kid no where near prime he will never get credit. Whether he could have beaten him without the cw isn't important and neither here no r there we will never know. But we know nel o has improved a lot since. So either way it's not a win over prime nelo.
Pac wanted a cw v cotto. But at least cott o was proven and had been known for a long time and had experience.
Nelo was unknown a year or so before floyd fought the kid. Even if Floyd fought without the CW, people would still criticise flouds win as nelo was green and having little experience at top level and no where near prime. So with the CW your really cruising for a bruising and we know Floyd CW usage is more sinister, he used it to keep unbeaten record to support the idea of how great he was. That's floyds selling point

        Well that settles that.

I hate Floyd, but trying to use this as an excuse is pathetic. Canelo's performance wouldn't have been different enough to win him the fight just 'cause he had to cut a couple less pounds

Floyd took him to school. Plain and simple. Canelo very nearly got shut out in that fight.

Just let it go. It doesn't take away from anything Canelo accomplished before or after that.
No the couple pounds wouldn’t have changed it. That’s why Floyd should have just done 154 doesn’t matter if canelo said 152. But since he didn’t we can’t assume anything

Just get over it already! The fight is over and Canelo lost. He got his asswhooped by a smaller and weaker old man.

People say it wouldn't have made a difference, but honestly Canelo looked so damn skinny at the weigh in, sitting on a chair immediately after that you can't help but wonder if he was just a bit too lethargic to really go after the smaller mayweather as much as he would have liked.

Anyone have a pic of Canelo at weigh in, looked so skinny, like a teenager.

*** Floyd and his pu$$y catchweight begging ass.

Why no one respects him and feel he's always weazeled his way to 50 and 0.

Check out the quote from your link, they initially wanted Canelo to go to 147lbs LMAO:

                    Canelo...

"I wouldn't do that. But when the (fight) negotiations started, they wanted me to go to 147. I said that's physically impossible. I couldn't do it. Then they inched up to 150. I said I can't do it, that's impossible. Those days are over. I can't make that weight anymore, I've grown.

"Then they went up to 151. And then finally, so we could make the fight, I said, 'If anything, I'll give up two pounds. I'll go up to 152. I agreed to that. Then they tried to force me to be quiet and not to mention anything that they came up with the weight of 152. And that's why ... I haven't said anything until now."

You can't just gain huge amounts of weight in one day and feel very strong and healthy. If the catchweight was not designed to drain Canelo then why did Floyd insist on it. Why not have no catchweight and fight at 154?
