Canelo was obviously going to be a big time fighter and huge star and Mayweather knew this and a fight with him would have been called for also

Canelo was a mere 23 years of ages and no where near the fighter that fought Golovkin in their first fight

Even inbetween the first and second golovkin fight canelo was still and still is growing into his prime

It was like a man and a boy

Pacquiao is and has been in decline but still a sensational fighter
But with close calls and losing to horn ect a shadow of his former self

But still good enough to fight the heavy hitting prime Keith Thurman

A man that has beat two top tier fighters in Danny Garcia and shawn porter

Canelo biggest win prior to Mayweather I hear you ask

Austin trout a now known absolute hype job who's ass collapsed in every big fight hes been in

canelo is better than thurman there is no doubt about it...then again the people who cared about catch weight fights when they were between guys in different divisions dont seem to care about them when there was a catchweight between champs in the same division. its almost like they arent being honest with themselves.

You would call any post you don't agree with ****** because you are a rude ****** arrogant ass hole who thinks you are always right. You have Mayweather vastly overrated so everyone must agree with the great Robbie Barrett or you call them ******. You are the ****** one.

I would give the edge to Pacquiao. Mayweather's win was great but he drained Canelo and Canelo fought a poor ****** fight.

              *******s, man.

Manny took his lumps, he didn't dominate Keith the way Floyd did Canelo. Thurman was coming on strong late, wouldn't have been surprised if that fight was scored a draw. It was a close fight despite the shills on commentary pretending Pac was just beat Thurman's ass for 12 rounds. And it's a joke to call Thurman an elite fighter at this point. This is the guy that went 12 rounds with a fighter Berto stopped, the guy who got beat by an 41 yr old Jeff Horn gave problems to. Manny is done, but somehow Thurman couldn't deal with him? He's not an elite fighter. He's a joke.

Come on guys. You have to really hate Floyd to even suggest Thurman right now is better than Canelo was when Floyd fought him.

Even if you lie and say you think Thurman was better he won 5 rounds against Manny. Canelo barely won a round against Floyd.

I will say this the judge that has Canelo winning 6 rounds and the judge that has Thurman winning 7 rounds are incompetent.

The Canelo that Mayweather challenged was a lot younger, fresher, at his physical peak and much closer to his prime and yet Floyd still pitched a virtual shut out against him.

However, this version of Keith Thurman that Pac defeated was a cherrypick. His team knew that he was vulnerable and diminished; As his skills were on the decline.

Which was why he took the fight with Thurman in the first place. They would have never stepped a foot in the same ring with a prime Keith Thurman.

Yet at the same time, this version of Thurman was still able to give Manny a run for his money. He was able to give him a very close, hotly contested and highly competitive fight.

In addition, he even made Pac eat several hard, clean, flush right hands throughout the fight; While even buzzing and hurting him in the process on more than a few occasions. Yet his timing was still a little off.

He just couldn't quite follow through with it because he was more than a step slower than his normal self.

I am one of biggest Pac supporters on this forum and yet I even knew this fight was a cherrypick from the start. Many fans had predicted a Thurman victory but I was not one of them.

Team Pacquaio selected the right opponent at the right time because he is forty years old now and wants to prolong his career. Therefore, he and his team are choosing and screening his battles very carefully.

They are choosing the right opponents at the right time and it just so happens that Keith Thurman was one of them. I predict that Pac's next fight would be against Danny Garcia or an Amir Khan.

Canelo looked like **** in the Trout fight which was his last fight before Mayweather and he was weight drained for it too. Double whammy bs.
