Haymon wouldn't be seeing this offer unless Dade Promotions showed it to him. And I don't know why Dade would do that. Haymon is ultimately a manager. Managers CAN talk deals with promoters, but if a fighter has a promoter like Ortiz does Haymon, Ortiz & Ortiz's manager are only seeing what Dade decides to show them if anything.

Its possible that Ortiz has been lowballed by his own promoter in his PBC deal. Cuz I don't believe Ortiz has any advisor deal with Haymon specifically. I'm under the assumption Haymon via PBC offered a deal of x to Ortiz's promoter to fight on PBC & Ortiz's promoter offered Ortiz x minus y (the promoters "fee"). Haymon would be under no obligation or expectation to tell Ortiz the full offer made so this has ZERO to do with PBC.

No. Ortiz promoter was trying to pocket 2mil & Ortiz thought he was getting less than half of what Miller was getting. So him sayiny $3 mil was a lowball offer he was correct.

When you overestimate your worth you live to regret. Hearn called their bluff now they are pretending like they didn't know what was happening. They have seen the fight slipping away. I hope the same happens to Wilder. Hope he gets caught by one shot and gets knocked out and he lives to regret what he missed in the Joshua fight.

More excuses, damage control is what this seems like. However like Wilder, Ortiz talks big til it's time to fight AJ. Them PBC boys on the Uncle Haymon's plantation look like a bunch of cowards.

You’re being sold a bill of goods. He was told not to fight Joshua or he wouldn’t get the wilder rematch. But he won’t make near $5 million or $8 million fighting wilder, so you take the deal. Either that or he’s cycling right now and doesn’t want to VADA test.

So Ortiz now gonna pretend he's ****** and didn't know what's going on? Everyone and their mom knew exactly what's going on, all the negotiations were pretty much public but Ortiz didn't know? Give me a break, I'm tired of this fake boogeyman.

He made far less fighting Wilder, odd he would turn down this money. Big talk but no follow through. He knows AJ presents many more problems than Wilder. Can box and punch.

Eddie, Ortiz & his manager can't decide upon sh^t without the signing off of the fight on an agreed upon offer that Ortiz's Promoter thinks makes sense to him.

Ortiz & his manager can pressure or shame the Promoter into accepting the offer cuz the Promoter making $2M of the $7M offer (I'm pretty sure thats what Eddie implied/hinted at cuz Eddie denied $5M was the offer, but obviously Eddie knows the business & that his offer isn't the offer Ortiz's was getting offered & Eddie isn't trying to get into these other mfers business like that here) does seem more than fair for the promoter lol.

This situation got a whole lot crazier cuz I wasn't even aware Ortiz HAD a f#cking promoter. I'm looking back at articles today & am seeing Dade Promotions being brought up in a lot of Ortiz's deals. But I guess I overlooked that cuz wtf is Dade any f#cking way. Dade looks to me like one of these bs "promoters" that doesn't even put on fights or I've not found a show they've put on anyway.

These f#cking Cuban guys always signing with legit sham promoters lol. Rigo had one of these promoters that don't put on fights situations for a long ass time too (& may still idr if it ended or not).

Rule 1 of signing with a promoter. Make sure he's a promoter who actually does f#cking shows or you are basically just hiring a extra manager middleman-like guy whos not even looking out for your 100% best interest like a manager who's getting a piece of what you get. These fake ass promoters are giving fighters a piece of what THEY can get off of your accomplishments.
The promoter works for the fighter, not the other way around. If Ortiz's trainer and manager are claiming that Ortiz wants the fight, and was happy to accept the money offered. If that's the case, there's no reason why he can't demand that his promoter make the fight.

With Ortiz's manager, trainer and promoter all claiming that they wanted to make the fight, it shouldn't be a problem for his promoter to go back to Eddie Hearn, swallow his pride and try and make the fight.

They have to understand that they are their own boss. The promoters and managers work for them and not the other way around.

I believe Ortiz should have taken this fight; Turning it down was a mistake.
Ortiz CAN'T accept it by himself lol.

You aren't understanding the situation I don't think.

Ortiz has a promoter. Ortiz's promoter has to accept the offer & therefore sign off on the fight.

To me it sounds like Dade wasn't happy getting ~$2M for this fight if I'm correct in my estimation of what Eddie implied his offer was ($7M) & what the deal was that Ortiz's Promoter, Dade, offered him ($5M).

This sounds like sketchy promoter bs to me.

Parents with promising boxer kids don't let you kid sign up with these bs ass promoters that aren't even putting on shows. You're basically just hiring a middleman where one isn't needed.

The promoter has a twitter account that's been inactive for years - https://twitter.com/dadepromotions1.
Dade Promotions seem to have been Ortiz's promoter for almost a decade. Considering what a piss-poor job they have done throughout his career I have to wonder why Ortiz is still with them. They must some have something on him, maybe they have his birth certificate.
