Smiles..... Let's not pretend Ortiz will be the only guy needing 6/7 weeks to prepare, AJ has about the same time to prepare for a southpaw.I would love to see Ortiz step in for Miller, it's a good opportunity and a good paycheck. But let's be honest here, if AJ truly wanted to fight Ortiz, he would've originally signed to fight Ortiz and not Miller, so let's not pretend like this is the opportunity Ortiz had been asking for.
No amount of excuses will justify Ortiz not picking this pay cheque.
The truth is, even with one year training camp, Ortiz is still getting KTFO. It makes no difference to me.Comment

AJ appears to be the boogeyman. All these baby HW's seems to be scared of him.Yup, opportunity is definitely knocking and I hope Ortiz can take advantage of it. I don't know about AJ never looking towards Ortiz again though, he had a surprisingly hard time finding an opponent for March, which is why he ended up setting up the Miller fight for June. Anything can happen.
No one wants to step up.
Excuses are numerous, am flabagasted.Comment

It appears you are new to boxing or you are pretending to be ignorant.. Tell me one champ that fought without a rematch clause. The rematch clause could be a sticking point, who are you to say it isn't? You're an outsider like the rest of us who knows nothing about what the contract Ortiz may or may not have been sent actually says. Eff Pandas was just giving reasons on why they may not like the fight due to things that could be in the contract. And yes, someone could definitely turn a fight down due to a rematch clause that ties them in and screws them over should they win the fight. I'd hate for you to be my manager if you would set your clients up like that.
Ortiz is a fccking sherry picked southpaw, he has no business with rematch clause. Hez been offered more than X10 of his highest pay to get battered from king Kong to pet monkey.Comment

Lolx...... When you talk about mandatories, WBA is far ahead and better than WBC.You bringing up crap that has nothing to do with Pandas original post and what we were talking about. Ortiz can complain about whatever he wants if the contract isn't giving him the best results. All you know is about the money being told to you now, nothing about what options may go with it and that's all we are talking about is to wait til all the information comes out because right now we don't know. Who cares about Wilder? You are bringing up another fight I couldn't care less about because it isn't happening. 4 belts!?
Man nobody cares about the IBO strap, that's not a real title. You new fans kill me
I agree with you on not having Ortiz fight Wilder for that 500K though. He may have taken that fight because he needed the money with his daughter having those health problems and his mandatory with Joshua could of been dragged out, the WBA is horrible when it comes to mandatories, especially with people that are draws.
If Ortiz was patient he would have been the replacement for Pulev but he chose to go the easy route and got KTFO.Comment

For strategy and tactics it's the same, but not for conditioning. And Ortiz actually looked tired in his last outing, so he probably knows he needs a full training camp to go the distance.Smiles.....
