Eh, don't blame Ortiz' people for not taking it with less than optimal time. I also dont think Ortiz has any problem fighting AJ although being subjected to the VADA testing without prior warning may be an issue for him.

I also think AJ would probably handle Ortiz without much issue. The more I think about it, the more I could see Michael Hunter being the most dangerous of the potential opponents being mentioned.

Ortiz did say he was ready on a weeks notice to fight Wilder. You'd think he'd feel the same way about AJ with a lot more time to train. This proves he obviously doesn't.

I'm resigned to the fact Al Haymon won't allow anymore of the fighters in his stable to fight on another platform; Especially DAZN.

As was in the case in Deontay Wilder. The fighters in his stable are all free agents and he fears once they start making top dollar over there at DAZN he runs the risk of losing them for good because they have the deeper pockets in order to steal/keep them.

In addition, like all smart promoters if Ortiz signs with Matchroom, then they would want additional options on all his future fights as well. Especially, if he defeats Joshua.

I can guarantee you that Anthony Joshua's replacement opponent will not be an Al Haymon PBC fighter like Adam Kownacki. It looks like right now that Michael Hunter will be the likely replacement for Jarrell Miller.

It's because not only does he fight on DAZN and is in the same stable as AJ but he is also an American heavyweight too.

It doesn't quite work that way. Before Ortiz even signs with DAZN they are going to want additional options on all his future fights.

Moreover, if he defeats Anthony Joshua there is a mandatory rematch clause. That's why Haymon would forbid him for signing would DAZN because if he does chances are he may not comeback to the PBC and Showtime;

Given all the money that DAZN has to throw around. They just may try to keep/steal him.

Anyways, Ortiz won’t do since it won’t be enough time for him to have a full training camp which is fair and that he’s already signed with Showtime!

People don’t understand how boxing works as well, AJ has been specifically training for a orthodox fighter and now would have to switch to a southpaw with longer reach and technical skills plus power!

Lol you can believe roach all you want and sing his praise to the milky way but I really suggest you go back and look at some of his previous fight prediction and how far off he was AJ and his camp had plenty of chances to fight king Kong after a full camp and not some super short camp with a offer made on such a short notice. Ortiz is called the most avoided boxer of the division for a reason and not just by Wilder fans. If they are so confident they will beat Ortiz, why didn't they fight him instead of JM. Ortiz is a much bigger name and it would have shut up plenty of nay Sayers.

AJ was fighting Miller because he's American and has a big mouth to sell to the New Yorkers. Ortiz would be boring in the build up and harder to sell for your first fight overseas. Plus, I think Ortiz is the second most overrated in the division after Wilder and has no stamina. Miller may not have beaten a decent fighter yet, but he's fresh. Ortiz isn't and has only beaten one decent fighter a couple of years ago in Jennings. So not much difference in resume. I do however consider Ortiz to be the best choice after all this test fail shlt though.

So again, why didn't AJ and crew offer Ortiz a fight with a full camp not a few weeks to prep for a super fight. As for Ortiz not jumping at the offer, some fighters really enjoy the time between fights and need a full camp to get back into fighting shape and work on timing and reflexes. AJ and camp lose credibility for trying to slam Ortiz. Looks like a cheap attempt to gain a advantage. AJ fan boys always say Ortiz is 52 well then his old azz really needs a full camp to be in the best shape. After this you won't hear AJ camp mention Ortiz.
