LOL, show me where any of those men in their 3rd pro-fight out-classed a guy like Russell.

Or when any of them fought a fighter as talented as Rigo - let along won.

Or had the late surge KO over a bigger man at the top of his game like Linares.

Let's go by actual footage. Not ****-****** fantasies.

More than any of the numerous arguments that can be made in the Pac-Mayflower debate, this is the strongest.
Pacquiao had close fights every single time with Marquez.

Floyd coming off a long layoff/retirement completely dismantled JMM.

        Obviously.

Linares isn't even elite. We are talking about a guy who was battered into submission by Antonio Demarco.

There was a reason 97% of writers agreed Pacquiao was the fighter of the decade/
Pacquaio beat no ATG's in their prime.

I like how you didn't use the P4P list as reasoning this time

He went on to be atleast.

Linares is and always was dead average at best.

Fighter of the DECADE doesn't mean fighter of 2016-2019 lmao.
GGG had Ouma, Proksa, Ishida, Macklin and Stevens from 2010-2013. 5 good/very good wins considering they were all by stoppage and besides Ouma all dominant performances.

You're either completely ignorant, completely ******, or just lazy.

You really want to put all your chips down on this hand!?!?!?

I have more respect for you than that. There's no way that's the fight you're selling as Floyd's signature of the 2000's. Look at the hoops he made Marquez hop through. It was a great performance. As in, Floyd showed skill. But Floyd beating Marquez is like B Hop beating De La Hoya, Schmeling beating Walker or Tyson beating Spinks. A reminder why all fighters, but especially old ones should respect weight classes.

De La Hoya got WRECKED by Pacquiao. While Floyd made De La Hoyacut weight. And Floyd needed DLH to fade before pulling out a convincing but hard-earned win.

Mayweather also avoided the smaller Pacquiao through out the decade. He waited until Pac had one foot in the grave before meeting him. And, you guessed it, at Mayweather's preferred weight.

Even thinking Trout could have had the decision over Alvarez, that’s still arguably a better win going in to Floyd than Linares had over anyone.

Yeah, he looked better than Kovalev ever did; who beat Ward, whom some here have nominated.
