He won almost all his fights by KO, so saying those guys ****** is the only recourse most people have if they want to diminish what he did. Even the Jacobs and Canelo fights were pretty straightforward wins for him but the first time his fights go to decision anyone who hates on him is quick to say he lost those fights lol. It's just not really sound analysis.
But yeah GGG's dominant stretch started in 2011 with the win over Ouma and he has (imo, giving him the two Canelo wins) 17 good to great wins on his resume. By far the best resume of anyone else in the running this decade. As far as best wins I would say Canelo (2) and Jacobs were his top 3. But Murray, Geale, Stevens, Lemieux, Brook would all be in the second batch. Followed by Vanes, Proksa, Rubio, Monroe, Ouma, Adama, Macklin, Ishidia, Rosado. All of those past the first 3 fights were all by KOs and pretty dominant. Just a great resume for anyone. Don't see how people can really try and hate on the man that much. He deserves much more credit.
I've been saying it for a while now, FOTD is gonna be interesting.

I think it's an easy Mayweather win, with Ward and Alvarez making strong cases, but ultimately losing out. Ward's Super Six run + Kovalev is hard to beat, but Mayweather's Showtime deal + Pacquiao is IMO better than anything anyone else has done. Alvarez's 154 run + Golovkin isn't anything to sneeze at, but not at the same level. He could make his case stronger with Jacobs and something else amazing (Andrade, Hurd?), but Mayweather ultimately dominated him, and beat Pacquiao. It's hard to justify anybody from the new crop having a case against just those 2 wins.

You got guys fighting trash opponent after trash opponent, getting hyped by fans for fighting trash. They fought so much trash for a whole decade, that Ward and Mayweather’s half a decade run still towers over everyone else. So yeah boxing is a joke, but it’s not Floyd or Ward’s fault, they’re not the matchmakers for the rest of these clowns.

I did mention in a previous post (that someone responded to and then I responded back to him in the post you quoted) that for me this FOTD has a lot to do with how you actually saw the results of some of these fights. Granted, as you alluded to, that probably won't matter in the eyes of whoever makes the decision, but as far as who I feel legitimately deserved it I factor that stuff in.
But a lot of that is a bit subjective (even if I think 95% of the time there is only one winner in fight; a lot of people on here pick the other way in those fights for whatever reason, so even in the 'robberies' there is never really 100% consensus with the fans that it was the wrong result). Will definitely be interesting to see who gets it!

If you think any of these guys are truly clean you're not old enough to be posting here. Fury's achievements aren't really owed to PEDs, they're owed to his technical prowess.
If you think he's alone in cheating you've invalidated yourself.

But I bring up Marquez just to show the talent gap there was between Floyd and Pacquiao.
De La Hoya was severely weight drained for the Pac fight and even had IV marks on his arms according to Freddie Roach. Are you trolling me with this?
Lastly, Floyd had agreed to all terms to fight Pacquiao in 2009. But it was Pacquiao who avoided signing and who avoided stricter, random testing. Those are just the facts.
Then you want me to believe the triangle theory of Marquez vs Pac vs. mayweather.
I'm thinking you've got your wires crossed on this one.

Mayweather's fight with McGregor shouldn't even count. Other than that, he fought 9 times. I'm sorry, that's not enough especially when he fought in Vegas for every fight and essentially had a draw with Maidana the first fight in Vegas, which is basically like a win for Maidana.

Ward?...WARD? Hahahahaha!! These Boxingscene beta writers just can't jump off Ward's ****. Maybe most boring fighter of the decade. I'd actually rather watch a Mayweather fight. Have another latka Rosenthal. Moron.
