Surely this is how negotiations work? You make an offer below what you would take, and you see what the counter offer is. Then you start negotiating.
I haven't heard any news of a counter offer. Does Wilder want the fight?
it is a negotiation tactic, it's stalling. you make an offer that is designed to not be taken. in hearn's case he offered a fight with a flat fee and he offered a fight without a date. this fight would possibly be the highest grossing fight at HW of all time, mind you, and hearn knows damn there won't be a flat fee.
hearn's original flat fee offer to wilder was just about what joe parker got. joe f#cking parker! he got a split between 30 and 35%! and wilder doesn't deserve a split? dillian white is going to make more in the rematch than the flat fee hearn offered!

You Must be ******ed if you think there is no offer
As I said a bad offer gets leaked like last time, tick tock, how will wilder duck this one

Good stuff on here. The AJ fans in full defenseThis is the biggest fight to make in boxing right now and both deserve their fair split..with AJ getting the lions share and I'm sure his fangirls will agree, because hes the bigger draw. BUT that doesn't mean hes the better fighter of the 2.
I don't believe Hearn has any intention of making the fight honestly as Wilders too much of a risk n AJ losing will impact DAZN subscribers or future subscribers. Then you would have an undisputed HW Champ in a stable of Hearns promotional/network competitors. They're just gonna milk AJ as long as they can.
However Wilder is technically a promotional free agent and has interesting options in the matchroom stable. Wilder is too much of a financial risk for matchroom. So in reality this fight wont happen this year.. more likely 2020, Wilder will be 35.

No-one expects to win with their first bid in an auction. They are trying to set a low bar.
Ball is in Wilder's court now. It's not Hearn's job to make Wilder's fights. He doesn't need to keep making offers. You can't just say "no", you're supposed to come back with something else.

The offer is assuming wilder beat fury, I’m not sure what it holds but wilder had a chance to evoke undisputed champ and he will earn much more than 15m
He is still the b side and like Floyd took it vs Oscar and pac took it vs Floyd, wilder should take it unless he doesn’t want it
Or wilder needs to make a proper statement saying he is fighting fury next and then will fight Joshua, everyone would be cool with that

However winning is not what was gonna change his negotiation power. It was drawing people. It was increased popularity. Recall Hearn talking about ppv tiers for his next offer. Over 1M buys 50-50, under 300k buys 80-20.
