For Team Joshua to take Wilder as a $12.5 million expense without cutting him in for a large percentage of an event that could generate in the high eight figures is a joke. When Joshua faced Joseph Parker to unify their three belts last month, the Parker camp got one-third of the money in the event. Wilder is worth more than that, obviously; he brings the last piece of the undisputed title to the table, he brings a bigger fan base and, on his own, he generates more money than Parker does.

Haha, fat Dan doesn't count. You need a quote from AJ or Parker's team not from some journo who has nothing to do with the fight.

You didn't specify that the quote had to come directly form AJ or Parker. If you don't trust Journalist, why are you reading stories on BoxingScene?

Joshua and Parker settle on purse split, now look to close the deal

      December 28, 2017:

Higgins had been negotiating a purse split for his fighter quite publicly. He first started with a ‘non-negotiable’ demand of 40% of the revenue, which Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn predictably scoffed at. Once that demand went nowhere fast, Higgins then lowered his demands to another ‘non-negotiable’ 35%. That too wouldn’t get very far.

So eventually Higgins says he had to concede a little bit more, claiming that the agreed upon split would be between 30-35% for his side, but wouldn’t give the exact number. He did say, however, that it was close to the middle of that, so I’ll just go ahead and presume it’s a 32.5% share of the revenue for Parker.

Wilder fans simply don't want the fight and think they are accountants . Ironically that takes some intelligence. Lewis agreed to fight Bowe for 15% to get a Undisputed entitlement, this guy is also a troll.

A side means lion share not roberry...

AJ brings the most money to the plate so he should get the most however anyone saying Wilder should only get a flat fee is misguided when it comes to business. 70/30 or 65/35 is a fair split for the fight, anything less than that is a robbery. Both prize fighters deserve a fair prize.

That is a fair split for BOTH fighters. If it is not what Wilder is offered then Hearn's nothing Hearn says is more that lip service and he doesn't want the fight. I believe AJ will win the fight but then again Hearn may know something I don't.

As far as the flat fee offer being more than what he made against fury , how do you know what he cleared from the fury fight ?? I know there were reports it was in the 15 million range . Anyway it goes like this you might buy a Ford Taurus and have a car payment of $300.00 you buy a Lexus you have a car payment of $700.00 so if you fight a fighter that brings less value to the table how can you make more ? I can tell you this , AJ is going to make less fighting Whyte than he would wilder . So there really is no point to your statement.

                  exactly !

                    He is still refusing

Wilder don't deserve ****. He has talked **** and not fought anybody for years. And they are supposed to reward him for that? Hell no. He brings nothing but a belt that he devalued by fighting bums for years while they protected him.
