This thread is utterly ridiculous and borderline crazy. What is wrong with people? lol
-PBC on FOX is a beautiful thing
-This is the START of something for 4 years straight..non stop boxing shoved down the general populations mouths
-The amount of promotion and air-time these fighters have received is only going to increase....the set shows every week, replays, and cross promotion through NFL, NBA and MLB is only going to increase the profile of fighters.
-This has never been done before for boxing, EVER.
Ratings are going to continue to rise
What people fail to understand is that UFC on FOX started off with a **** because fighters were already known..since they started putting on average fights the last few years their numbers have TANKED.
With PBC on FOX it's a clean slate..and this is the first time North America is seeing these fighters on a regular basis (outside of hardcore boxing fans). The casuals are already starting to see who these fighters are...and it's not going to stop. Another thing to note is that PBC on FOX will have 10x shows per year on the MAIN fox....UFC on FOX only had 4x shows per year on the main FOX...boxing is going to become mainstream again.
Anyone that thinks this is a bad thing is out of their minds AND not a true boxing fan, I'm sorry, that's just the truth.
The key thing is that even boxing fans were clueless with the shoulder programming that we've had the last month...once the casuals latch on, it's pretty much a growth period for boxing and a renaissance.
If you are a boxing fan in general you should be ecstatic.
If you are a fan of stables, maybe not, but why would any grown man be a fan of a stable and not the sport?
If Eddie Hearn does bad, boxing does bad
If Oscar does bad, boxing does bad
If Arum does bad, boxing does bad
If AL does bad, boxing does bad.
It should not matter who the promoter is, I don't know how some people look themselves in the mirror as grown men arguing about stables.
Your energy can be spent doing something more productive
, not spewing garbage.
