This thread is utterly ridiculous and borderline crazy. What is wrong with people? lol

-PBC on FOX is a beautiful thing

-This is the START of something for 4 years straight..non stop boxing shoved down the general populations mouths

-The amount of promotion and air-time these fighters have received is only going to increase....the set shows every week, replays, and cross promotion through NFL, NBA and MLB is only going to increase the profile of fighters.

-This has never been done before for boxing, EVER.

Ratings are going to continue to rise

What people fail to understand is that UFC on FOX started off with a **** because fighters were already known..since they started putting on average fights the last few years their numbers have TANKED.

With PBC on FOX it's a clean slate..and this is the first time North America is seeing these fighters on a regular basis (outside of hardcore boxing fans). The casuals are already starting to see who these fighters are...and it's not going to stop. Another thing to note is that PBC on FOX will have 10x shows per year on the MAIN fox....UFC on FOX only had 4x shows per year on the main FOX...boxing is going to become mainstream again.

Anyone that thinks this is a bad thing is out of their minds AND not a true boxing fan, I'm sorry, that's just the truth.

The key thing is that even boxing fans were clueless with the shoulder programming that we've had the last month...once the casuals latch on, it's pretty much a growth period for boxing and a renaissance.

If you are a boxing fan in general you should be ecstatic.

If you are a fan of stables, maybe not, but why would any grown man be a fan of a stable and not the sport?

If Eddie Hearn does bad, boxing does bad
If Oscar does bad, boxing does bad
If Arum does bad, boxing does bad
If AL does bad, boxing does bad.

It should not matter who the promoter is, I don't know how some people look themselves in the mirror as grown men arguing about stables.

Your energy can be spent doing something more productive , not spewing garbage.

Fox debuted PBC on FOX with 2.5M. Now getting 1.6M on a dead sports night isn't good.
      Keep this mind too:

Forget Black Friday. The biggest shopping day is Saturday before Christmas

Waiting until the weekend to do your holiday shopping? You’re not alone: This coming Saturday is shaping up to be the biggest spending day of the year.

Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, used to be America’s biggest single shopping day. But the final Saturday before Christmas took the title four or five years ago as more retailers began their Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving Day — or weeks before, said Craig Johnson, president of Customer Growth Partners. U.S. shoppers will spend an estimated $26 billion on Saturday, beating the $24 billion they shelled out on the day after Thanksgiving, the industry researcher said.

Why does this surprise anyone? If boxing is free on TV, people will watch. Duh

They avertised the hell out of it. I had buddies who don't watch boxing much messaging me about the charlos from NFL ads

Yup. The FOX Sports YouTube clip of the Harrison/Charlo highlights and post fight fiasco already has well over 500k clicks. Nothing remotely close to that on the FOX Sports YouTube channel, nothing. It’s still buzzing.

Under 2 Million. Better than the previous six PBC shows but not a number they were looking at.

If Fox is happy with the number it doesn't matter what some people on a boxing forum thinks I mean lets be honest. It is their investment, they're the ones putting up the money for PBC on Fox, so if they're thrilled with their numbers then that is all that matters. Bottom Line it elevated Ratings on the Network during that time slot compared to what they normally show at that time once College Football Season is over which is TMZ or whatever or do they still show Cops on Fox on Saturdays?

It is not about just us the boxing fans, the hope also is the build NEW FANS! I know we boxing fans don't take to kind to new comers but this sport so desperately need new fans especially if we want DAZN, ESPN, FOX, Showtime to continue to invest the type of money they're investing in this sport.

Get over yourselves, it is not about you, your opinion don't even matter. If Fox, Showtime, DAZN, ESPN are happy with their numbers that is ALL THAT MATTERS at the end of the day because again they're the ones making the investment.

Those are very good ratings. They exceeded expectations. I believe they had to compete against college football or basketball on that evening. In any case, the show was nicely done!
