UMMM they said that DAZN was the most downloaded app this past weekend by far. Look it up. Hardly a bad thing
DAZN Numbers for Canelo/Fielding "Shockingly Low"
Collapse

Probably because the app got downloaded so much it went to number 1 on the charts. I have android and it has been downloaded 5 million plus times so apple must be higher I assume. Why would anyone doubt it or be surprised? No one knowns who fielding is, it not a mega fight and its a gimme first fight to welcome him to the DAZN streaming app. I have said this before, when you invest in something your first few runs are a write off, you have to budget for that even before you go into it.
As someone stated earlier, alot probably got to the point where they ask for a CC and said fk this and deleted it but if 10 million have the app, how many did that?
I wonder what he considered "SO SAD" for viewers?Comment

A guy who makes up gossip about fake fighting is your source? This according to Dave Meltzer who pretty much is one of the best sources for PPV numbers for the UFC and WWE Network.
Meltzer on Observer Radio today: "DAZN will never release numbers, but the viewers for the Canelo fight were shockingly low. SHOCKINGLY. A lot of money is being spent on this stuff...and the number of subscribers they got is SO SAD".

The one good thing about this IF true, it will likely lead to Canelo vs Jacobs if that wasn't already going to happen. DAZN will want to push for the big match ups ASAP and they will be needing Wilder/Joshua as well.Comment

Will be crazy low compared to what they're paying him. I mean they need 3 mil subs to pay him a 30 mil purse. But it's retention numbers that are most important for DAZN. How many of the subs they got for Canelo are going to keep their sub in the months Canelo isn't fighting.Comment

Well, to play devils advocate, if the number of enrollments was high we would have heard about it.Probably because the app got downloaded so much it went to number 1 on the charts. I have android and it has been downloaded 5 million plus times so apple must be higher I assume.

Sure that's not a bad thing, but "Downloads" don't directly translate to subscriptions. You can download it, but it asks for CC information so I'm sure a lot of people either quit at the "paywall" or used the free month and cut it off the same day.Comment
