    Fair enough. Good for Showtime.

No doubt FOX and ESPN give advantages like this type of publicity that other networks can't match. Does that alone mean those will be the top two networks? No, but sure doesn't hurt their chances of being just that.

Showtime has gained a lot of ground on HBO. HBO refuses to release their subscriber numbers, even in their federal filings. They only list the combined HBO/Cinemax number, which is extremely misleading since a lot of people have HBO & Cinemax and then get counted twice to artificially inflate the number.

HBO was too slow to realize Netflix was their main competitor, not Showtime, and Showtime managed to become HBO quicker than HBO could become Netflix.

For my TV show, I get the live Nielsens, I get the Nielsens + DVR, I get the network's own OTT streaming, I get the "TV everywhere" numbers from the cable & satellite companies' streaming, I get the website streaming, etc etc. These things are judged very differently than they used to. No different than the record business where you get the physical sales, digital sales, youtube streams, subscription streaming (spotify, etc).

HBO was so focused on the image of the Nielsens, while Showtime said **** it on the Nielsens, and we see what the result was.

For decades, HBO was the leader. Now PBC is the leader. Doesn't mean DAZN can't offer boxing fans tremendous value. For many years HBO had the biggest audience, but SHO was still giving boxing fans tremendous **** for their buck.
your missing the point. 10 fox shows are what are going to have the millions of viewers. Spence can’t crack 800k on Showtime. The DS1 shows? Please. Caleb Truax will have like 250k. It’s the fox ones that have views. The showtime and fs1 cards will be below the espn cards on ratings.

No, I'm not missing the point. The top 10 PBC cards will outdraw the top 10 TR cards hands down. Will the 18th most watched ESPN card outdraw the 18th most watched PBC card? Maybe, but probably not.

the top 10 won’t outdraw the top espn. That would mean that the top two showtime cards would have to have higher ratings than lomachenko and crawford. Loma has a prime time slot on 12/8 and will outdo anything sho does. Just like Loma-Linares blows away everything Sho did this year.

The only thing even close to Loma-Linares was Ortiz-Wilder which fell over 200k short.

The main event itself, which saw Lomachenko rally from a knockdown to stop Linares in the 10th round, averaged 1.439 million, peaking at 1.75

But he won't out do what the Charlos do on Fox on 12/22. That's the point. Fox is PBC's equivalent of ESPN and is in WAY MORE HOMES. SHO is PBC's equivalent of ESPN+ and is in WAY MORE HOMES.

Nobody can touch PBC's penetration now. They're head and shoulders above everyone else.

Actually he may. That's after the Heisman trophy presentation so the numbers will be skewed for that broadcast.
