They've made the best moves they could. Getting Canelo is HUGE HUGE HUGE. In the end, the business model doesn't really make sense to me. So it's hard to say what they should do to be a long term success when I think being a long term success is impossible.
Here's my biggest philosophical issue with the whole thing. You partner with an ESPN/Fox/CBS/Turner etc to get the mainstream exposure because the average person isn't tech savvy.
But eventually, if you're a content provider, you want to cut out the middle man. And just have your own app.
So where does DAZN fit in this? By the time the market is ready to go direct to consumer, the sports leagues won't want to sell their rights anymore. No different than Disney pulling their stuff from Netflix to just have their own service.
