Canelo didn't build on lies he ate bad meat, Khan was under rated and Chavez was good and so was that other middle weight he beat to get a shot at a middle weight belt. As for the judging, that's not Canelo's fault, it was the judge that gave away round 7.

Moreover, he doesn't put meat in the seats as Canelo Alvarez and in addition, he is not a Pay per view draw either. In other words, outside of boxing circles he is an unknown.

This fight makes very little to no business sense for Team Golovkin whatsoever. They are in the business of making money and not losing money.
Gtfoh! GG vs CHARLO in Vegas makes money. The buzz would be pretty good.

I don't see Golovkin going to 168 now. There's no easy fights there - Zurdo is a stylistic nightmare with his height and reach - and not much money. You said earlier that Canelo fights Golvkin again and I tend to agree.

At this point, I favor Jacobs and Charlo to both beat GGG and/or Canelo and give Andrade even chance.

Canelo is a short MW - he'll struggle against athletic taller fighters with some pop - simple as that.

So you’re saying GGG only fought C-listers, yet you think Charlo deserves a fight with him when his next fight is one of GGGs leftover C-rate fighters?

Charlo is taking the low risk/low reward fights and expects to suddenly be gifted a bump to the head of the line. He is a hype job who is avoiding risks. Jacobs, Saunders, Andrade all deserve shots at either GGG or Canelo ahead of Charlo.

Let me give you a dose of reality, GGG was never taking this fight. He feels he can get a direct shot at Canelo without the final eliminator.
Charlo became the official mandatory challenger for the WBC title by winning the interim title in his last fight.

Sulaimam said so himself when he gave Canelo permission for a voluntary in Dec:

"Jermall Charlo who is interim champion, has the right to face the official champion" Sulaiman.

And I know GGG was never going to take the fight because there is nothing in it for him. That's what I've been saying throughout this thread!

What I expect to happen is for Canelo to give up the MW belt after he beats Smith, then defend the WBA regular SMW title against GGG.

              1. Ducks his mandatory gets stripped of his IBF belt

              2. Canelo breaks his face and takes the rest of his belts sending him running out the ring in tears

              3. Begs WBC to leap frog him over Charlo for mandatory so they order a direct rematch. They say no and instead order he fight Charlo if he wants to be mandatory

              4. Has to watch canelo sign the richest deal in sports history

              5. He wanted to duck Charlo and fight this bum Murata in Japan sends his goofball promoter to the Murata fight only to see him get upset killing that fight

              6. Watches Andrade take the WBO belt that Saunders used to own who he wanted to fight for year's

              7. Watches Jacobs who ducked the rematch with beat the guy he ducked when he got stripped for IBF

              8. Now DAZN says you are NOT canelo they will not give loeffer a deal if he wants to get on DAZN must sign with Oscar or Hearn.

Literally everything has gone wrong for GGG.
Yeah, he's fallen a long way. You are right!

But, where did he fall from? You can't fall a long way from the curb.

And I'd wager he has more money in the bank than Jacobs and Charlo, and definitely Andrade. He is more well known than those three. he has, at this point, more legacy than those 3 (although they may surpass him). Yeah, it's terrible to fall such a long way. His wife must bitch at him every night when he walks through the door for being such a failure in life.

He needs to move on because if he does not get a better resume he is not going to be a 1st ballot hall of famer. This guy's entire career is based on chasing one fighter. And he is not satisfied that he has already fought him twice he thinks he deserves a 3rd and probably 4th fight with Canelo. My feeling is Canelo is done with GGG and is not going to fight him again for at least 18 months if he fights him at all.

In the history of boxing I have never seen a fighter so obsessed with fighting only 1 guy. He does not want to fight any other named fighters. He wants his whole career based only on Canelo and he is already 0-1-1 against Canelo.

He has already fought Canelo twice and he still refuses to fight anyone else of note. GGG is obsessed and it is making him look worse and worse as he continues not to take any risks because he does not want to risk losing a potential 3rd fight with Canelo no matter how remote the possibility is of a 3rd fight.

This is just unacceptable. GGG fan boys need to realize that GGG is afraid of challenging himself against the worlds top 160 and 168lbs fighters. I guarantee he will not fight a top ten fighter in his next fight.
You must be new around here. Khan and Mayweather? Briggs and Klitschko. Let me know when Canelo is on a paddleboard.

                  • Anybody who’s followed this dude’s career and has listened to Tom and all that 154-168 Mexican style big drama show bs already knew what to expect when it comes to Charlo...of course they can hide behind the business aspect of the sport and their loyal fans will eat it up...GGG is not even relevant anymore imo...Nelo took his heart and lunch money
