charlo is in a better position bc of his mando spot...u have to fight or strip

yes crawford is a champ but a champ can be ignored by other champs according to the rules...whether we like it or not.
Charlo's mandatory spot does not place him in a better position. The WBC stripped Canelo once to ride Golovkin's coat-tails as GGG had momentum 2/3 years ago. They made a mistake and realised it and had to suck up like crazy to get Canelo back on side.

Canelo is a bigger star now than then, as proven by his new deal. The WBC is not stripping him again and repeating that mistake and especially because Charlo has very little momentum at MW - much less than unified titlist GGG had back then.

How long before Senor Sulaiman commissions a beautiful new former middlewewight champion belt for GGG ... then orders him to defend it against Charlo?

Very sad. As a GGG fan I wanted to watch GGG vs Charlo. He won't fight Andrade, Jacobs. Instead we will watch him against bums, like clenelo vs Fielding. End of GGG.

Keep being the slave of clenelo, keep asking the third fight. Clenelo will never give the 3rd fight.

Don't even bother making that fight.
I don't think Charlo would want this monster either.
Loeffler should have just floated the idea.

Get a real promoter. Pacman jumped ship. He can too.

No one changed their mind. WBC just ordered the final eliminator after GGG/Canelo II. Does it bother you GGG isn't taking this fight or that he is getting some heat for passing it up? Let me give you a dose of reality, GGG was never taking this fight. He feels he can get a direct shot at Canelo without the final eliminator.

At the present, Golovkin is too old to go backwards. Either he rematches with Canelo, moves up to 168 or just simply retire.
You suggesting he only wants the Canelo jackpot, in other words at this point his primary motivation is money? If thats the case do ya mind explaining what pot of gold awaits him at 168?

Golovkin IS after the money. But try to, just for a moment, imagine what he is thinking. He's thinking in his own mind he is still the best MW out there because he considers he won both Canelo fights. This isn't about me saying what I think. It's me saying what Golovkin thinks.

So that being the case, Golovkin just has a simple pro-boxer-in-twilight-years decision to make - what fight brings most money for least risk?

Jacobs just had some stuffing knocked out of him last night. So did GGG in the 2nd Canelo fight. Charlo hasn't had any hard fights. A smart boxer will wait and see what Charlo is made of when matched tough before fighting him - same as ALL middleweights (including Canelo and Jacobs) waited for Brook to 'expose' Golovkin before stepping up to the plate. Before that, BJS' candidly opined view (when speaking with Eubank) was the consensus non-spoken thought of most MWs... "Golovkin? He'd beat you and me up on the same night" or Froch... "Golovkin? Swerve him like the plague". Only Ward was up for the task until plucky Brook came along.

Something similar is happening with Charlo now. Although in his case it's worse as he doesn't even have the belts that Golovkin held.

Agree. Charlo is waiting for Canelo or vacant wbc belt. GGG doesn't make sense.
