It's massively bigger than the Parker fight. Hearn says it's the biggest fight in UK history.
Finkel agreed to terms for a 2018 fight. Those terms are off the table now.Still mostly thanks to AJ and Finkel agreed to the terms for a potential record high pay day for Wilder.
If AJ is such a massive star and Wilder is such a weak B-side, then AJ should move on with his life the same way Wilder has.
Because they were promised a date in 2018 and Hearn refused to keep his promise. Why didn't they signComment

Pls who showed hearn the money?Eddie Hearn himself confirmed that the money was there. Because at first Hearn said it was a PR stunt and then he was shown that the offer was legit. Then it became a matter of location from there whether it would be in the UK or the US. Hearn wanted it in the UK but has later said it would be a big fight in the States. Hearn is the one flip flopping one minute to the next.Comment

[QUOTE=Squ□redCircle34;19139662]I would go a step further and say it won’t ever happen unless AJ loses an Edwards is ready to cash him out before then or he runs out of opponents!
Name me a fighter in history that would turn down 50 million dollars guaranteed plus money from the backend and then in a case of a rematch would make 30 million dollars or more!
That’s possibly 80 million for two fights!
Biggest duck in boxing history , Anthony “Aflac” Joshua is a certified coward, he says there’s enough money for everyone but bawks at Team Wilder wanting a fair percentage or even 50/50!
After Fury, I expect Wilder to fight each of AJ’s fans like AJ told them to since they have more confidence than Joshua does in himself![/QUOTE
Can you name me a fighter who refused to sign when offered X7 of his regular?Comment

That's not what happened. Hearn refused to accept in principle 50 million, so there was no reason to meet to hammer out smaller details. Hearn wanted to meet to discuss his flat fee offer to Wilder, which at the time, Wilder's side was refusing to discuss. That's why there was no meeting.Comment

Wilder should take the fight and try to win, that's the only way it can be 2/3 fight franchise.Every Joshua fight is worth more money if Wilder is still out there. Joshua gets more experience, Wilder gets older. If he fights Wilder and wins the other fights become anti climactic. It’s too bad they aren’t the same age. It’s just business. But it’s the lying about it that is annoying. But that’s promoting. I’d like see them gamble on the upside that it could be a two or three fight franchise.
Funny enough you made a very valid point that I had to pause a while and think about it.
If AJ KO wilder, what next? Other fights becomes anti climatic for real. Only an AJ upset can revive the interest looking at it from business point of view.Comment

On the back of these excuses, I will go fight a rehab patient and give him a rematch clause....It's massively bigger than the Parker fight. Hearn says it's the biggest fight in UK history.

Very funny.Comment

How did you know what hearn came to discuss? Were you part of his team? Serious business person will at least hear what the other side has to say and dialogue as business partners, rather they went into oblivion for 3 days without traces. That's not what happened.
