Luis Ortiz was actually a multiple time Cuban National Champion in the early days of the Castro regime. However, since he is in his 70s, when the plan was formulated to conceal his true age, the records of old had to be destroyed and altered.

Ortiz isn't very good neither is Wilder. These obsessive Wilder fans setting themselves up for huge disappointment When Wilder loses they'll all abandon him.

Hes not done anything in the pros either, its not as if theres any evidence for anything to back up the way people talk about him.
              And?

I'd say in terms of skill, Terrence Crawford is streets ahead of many guys who had far more amateur success and even beat him back then.

Plus as i say, the amateur scoring system was way different when Ortiz was an amateur. Joe Joyce's style probably wouldn't have got him that far with the old amateur scoring system with the computer scoring. It's almost a different game.

And yet, they aren't lining up to fight "The Real King Kong" in the pros.

crawford turned pro at 20 though not 30 like ortiz. ortiz was in his prime years as an amateur. And the cases are different because at least theres some evidence that crawford is a world class boxer, ortiz hasnt accomplished much in the amateurs and hes not accomplished much in the pros. Everyones basing this fearsome reputation on him beating bryant jennings, its farcical.
