KO'ing bums, taxi drivers and fat grandpas is easy. Let him fight a hungry young lion, or at least someone in good shape and with a decent chin and then we'll see how his power fares. French pastry shef Duhaupas ate all his punches like breakfast and busted up his eye.

The hype that Wilder and Ortiz are getting in the US is way OTT.
Wilder is the hardest puncher in HW history .. because he KO'd Stiverne and Ortiz, who had never had their chins checked by any noted punchers before fighting Wilder?
Stiverne was stopped by a journeyman, ffs!
Ortiz is the best technical boxer in the division .. based on what evidence? His KO of Bryant Jennings?
Ortiz does one thing well, and one thing only ... which is land accurate counters on guys who walk into him throwing punches, like Jennings did. And that's it.
At long range, against somebody using distance and movement, he seems completely lost. Good boxing flows from a good jab, and Ortiz has one of the worst jabs I've ever seen from from a top class fighter. Most of the time, he telegraphs his jab by lifting his lead foot 6 inches off the canvas and lunging forward before stamping his foot back down again as the jab comes out. Really horrible technique, and it probably explains why he never won a medal of any colour, or even a national title, in over 300 amateur fights.
For boxing skill and technique, Tyson and Hughie Fury are levels above Ortiz, and I would rate AJ higher than him too.

He will always find an excuse as to why he cannot fight a good fighter. Whyte, Fury, Klitschko, Parker, Miller, AJ, he has a different reason every time as to why he cannot fight any of them... but he will gladly fight Arreola, Washington, Szpilka and the rest. Have him KO guys in the top ten, hell, even the top 20 and he will get props PeriodOriginally posted by Boxingfanatic75 View Post

I will consider that IF Wilder KO’s everyone in this division in impressive fashion or at least (3) more top ranked HW’s. And that’s a big IF.
But if your talking about (1) punch KO power, not a harder puncher now than Tyson or Foreman was. Both Tyson and Foreman knocked out HW’s ranked high in the division multiple times. I wouldn’t even say Wilder hits harder than Liston or even Marciano who took out 34 of his 49 opponents in 6 rounds or less.
And all of these fighters would have KO’ed everyone Wilder has fought & probably quicker.

and another thing its clear that joshua has avoided him considering that he was promised the fight after klitschko and of course hearn retracted the offer!

I like Wilder. I like AJ too. I don't buy into the whole negotiation crap, choosing one side or the other as the good guy and the bad guy. I just want to see them fight.
So I am not a hater of Wilder. I like him. I even cheered him for whooping Zelenoff. But his resume is very poor, and he hasn't been tested properly yet. He has heavy hands, we all can see that, but until he proves himself against a few really good fighters, then saying 'best puncher in history' is idiotic.
But of course, if 'brother naz' says incredibly ****** things, you should watch who rushes to defend him. Watch those posters closely. When you get the chance, try to sign them up for a ponzi scheme. At least then they will provide some value.

This article is full off holes , this is what happens when ppl dont do their research !
1 . Ortiz wouldn't bring the reach and speed that Joshua does so that right there makes a far more difficult fight bc Wilder reacts differently to guys that reach him easier . We saw this not just against Washington but even Duhaupas who closed Wilders eye .
Wilder weathered the storm but he was also saved by the bell .
2 . Mike Tyson had an iron chin , he was never hurt with one punch and took several Razor Ruddock monster left hooks , walking through them . Wilder was rocked badly by ERIC MOLINA left hook ...ONE ! Tyson was briefly stunned in his Bruno fight and took 10 rnds of punches against Buster .
Are you seriously selling that Wilders chin is better than M.Tysons ? The same Wilder that stumbled from Washington jabs ?
3 ." Every time I see Joshua hurt in a fight, he damn near goes down. When you see Wilder hurt, he still stands his ground. He’s never shown fear or apprehension.”
Heres a doozy ! . lol
Joshua was only hurt once by a guy who hits harder then Wilder ( despite your opinion ) and he was exhausted when it happened bc his inexperience and heaviest weight were both factors of that happening .
Wilder has fought no actuall true heavy punchers . Ortiz hits hard but Wilder as mentioned saved by the bell , to paint Joshua as some fragile guy is as nonsensical as the article you have written here .
Im not even going to get into Wilder K.O s .......
I'll spare you on that one !Naazim Richardson
