I'm reading through this thread and I'm hoping a lot of you criticizing the man are doing so based only on the headline and haven't actually read what he says in the article.

"I said he might be the best heavyweight puncher in history and people are like, ‘How can you compare him to Joe Louis and Mike Tyson and George Foreman?’” Richardson tells Boxing News. “The reason I say that is this: they were all better fighters than him."

He goes on to explain what he means and why. To talk as if the man is daft says more about you than him even if you don't fully agree.

He's the hardest puncher in boxing history. Breaks high guards, KOs people with grazing shots, KOs people with his wrists...

He has a valid opinion for sure. This is why HEARN and AJ are petrified scared to fight WILDER.

This post has nothing to do with AJ because Wilder has been professional longer but can anyone give me a genuine reason why he hasn't fought more than 1 tough fight in his whole career? How can you be a heavyweight champion of the world and not fight top contenders?

The reason is that he is being protected by his handlers surely? He hasn't even stepped up to Chisora like level of opponents, I cannot name more than 5 Wilder opponents off the top of my head, seriously.

            Protected? No.
            Avoided? Yes

                I somewhat agree.

If you put up a measuring device that could detect pressure per sq. inch, I believe that guys like Wladimir, Foreman and even Tyson or Marciano could possibly produce a higher number than Wilder. But when it comes to the ability to hurt another fighter so easily with shots that don't even land flush or square, I'm not so sure that I've seen another heavyweight do it more often than Wilder. His power is something to behold.

if you hit enough people in the face with forearms and wrists (i.e bone) of course that's how it will look lol, and especially if you face the level of competition he has for 40 fights.

So if I go out there and train for a few months and then find me a matchmaker who will feed me up with40 bums, I am the best puncher on earth at that point in time?
