If you can't see the connection you don't have a high enough level of education. So to guess, you've completed high school and maybe had some community college or low level college classes under your belt. If you do have a degree it's a garbage degree from a garbage institution. Online degree's don't count for a variety of reasons.
When you have a high level of education (BA, BS, Masters, PHD, etc) at a proper institution, any reputable University makes proper research a requirement for students to complete their degree. That's just how it's done.
If you really want to show due diligence, you would be posting sources like an educated man would. Not going off your old and defunct memory banks which have a massive margin of error apparently. The fact you didn't know Del Valle was Jones sparring partner means you lack real knowledge. I'm constantly posting sources to stay sharp because when we get older there are memory leaks. Happens to everybody.
The fact is this, Doug Jones wasn't Clay's sparring partner. Do some research and use some reasoning. He beat his ass all on his own. You're wrong and the fact you can't admit defeat mean's you're unteachable or approaching it. Leggo your ego.
Who we now know as Muhammed Ali has been Reverse Euhemerized. If you don't know what that means, I would suggest using Google.
Even though Clay/Ali was a really great Boxer, Ali the man was greater than Ali the fighter. Ali was good for the world in a lot of pepoples eyes, and he was great for the black community, racism, etc. All of his out of the ring persona/exploits created something bigger than Ali the Boxer which is why people refer to him as the GOAT and The Greatest. Ali wasn't the greatest, not by a long shot. People have turned an above average man into a god that should never be questioned, EVER. That's about as ignorant and archaic as it gets.
Well, I completed my first degree in the 1980's, my second degree in the last decade. We never had online courses in the 80's I'm afraidwho gives a *****? Again, I don't know what education level has to do with how one can operate google. You don't need to have a masters degree to use google.
I don't come and post on this site to achieve a degree mate. I come on here and post here solely because I enjoy it. I'm not going to have a point of reference for every statment I make because that's tiresome and frankly unnecessary.
I like going back into my memory bank and discussing boxing. What's wrong with that? I get that the internet might be serious business for you but I'm afraid it's not for me. There's no shame in making a mistake and I did clearly state that I may be wrong on second thought so for you to say "I won't admit that" is totally disingenuous.
Why so self entitled? Do you think you are the only educated person on this board?
Also, why do you assume I wasn't aware that Lou Del Valle was Roy Jones' former sparring partner?

Roid Jones Jr. cannot be ranked above Hopkins. i dont care what your spin is.
Popped dirty for anabolic steroids in 2000. the boxing public didn't know until 2003.
Roid never provided the B sample requested.
great thread on the topic >>https://www.boxingscene.com/forums/s...d.php?t=772301

What's wrong with that is your memory is shot. As we get older, there are memory leaks. That's how aging works. The longer the data is stored and unused, the more likely it can spill into something else that's why you need to dust off those devices to stay sharp. My mother is in her 80's and when she recalls things from my youth, she crosses memories or reinvents them.
Who's saying every statement? I never said EVERY statement. You're using a lot of hyperbole here to justify your ego.
To use Google effectively you need to know how Googles search algorithm works. Different queries work better than others and if you don't know how to search, just mashing whatever into Google isn't going to provide a desired result.
It's not that THE INTERNET IS SERIOUS FOR ME, it's that communicating the truth is serious for me. I don't like to post garbage fantasy because I enjoy the power of being credible.
You did say I might be wrong, but you fought being wrong when questioned about it so you canceled yourself out.
On a site with 98% of posters are garbage, I'm the best of the 2%. I might not know it all, but I'm very well rounded and respected by my peers IRL who have much deeper roots than I in the game. If you think me thinking I'm better than 98% of the board is self entitlement, so be it. I put in the work and have special knowledge through experience the vast majority here doesn't.
I know you didn't know (as opposed to assuming), that Del Valle was a sparring partner for Jones because you think you put me in check with the below statement:

You thought you had me with that one. You know it, I know it. The reason I know you thought that is because only a neophyte wouldn't know that sparring partners know your bag of tricks. Thus, the point of your percieved spear was nothing more than a broken pencil. Boxing basics.
I merely stated that fact. Nothing more. Why you would assume that means I would be unaware that he was his sparring partner is shocking to me considering you are a genius.
I didn't fight it at all. I literally conceded instantly that I may have made a mistake.
My memory is actually pretty good considering all factors, but, even if it wasn't who cares? But it's funny you assume it's shot. You assume a lot don't you? Did you pick that up in the school for the gifted or at home? I come on here to discuss boxing solely for my own enjoyment. I'm not going to reference any point I don't want to because that isn't fun to me.

Roy Jones spoke about his "weakened state" because that was normal for every Toney fight. There is nothing unique about this fight.
"It means nothing" yeah that's very convenient and literally the exact same excuse for every single other time that Toney came up short.
You are still yet to tell me what the difference is between this fight and any other Toney fight.
You cited IV use, assuming that's even true, and also assuming he never used an IV before.
You cited that he nearly fainted at the weigh in but are refusing to back that up in any way to such an extent that you won't even respond to that question. Do you have anything to support that he nearly fainted at the weigh in?
I gave you two links proving he was hooked to an IV and here you say "assuming that's even true". so its safe to say you're stuck in your way of thinking so why should I throw more links and sources your way?
I stopped quoting JT or anybody from his camp because you made it clear anything from them you will just brush aside. so I gave you a full quote from Roid Jones himself. and still not enough for you.
I proved my case already. with facts and sources.
JT was drained. FACT
Roid Jones acknowledged openly Toney was weakened and washed up. FACT.
Roid Jones fans have never given Tarver and Johnson credit for knocking him out. FACT.
and based on the logic of Roid fans RJJ gets no credit for beating JT.
so stop harping on that win. It was tainted and overrated. Bhop was not prime in 1993 so don't harp on that either.
The best win of Roid's career in the 90's was Montell Griffin.
Roid popped dirty in 2000. FACT.
Hopkins popped dirty in.. never.
Hopkins > Roid Jones.

Let's assume it's true. How do you know it was the only time he used an IV?
Again, Roy Jones knew he'd be "weak" because he was always weak.
What differnence was there for his fight with Roy and any other Toney fight?
Do you have anything to support your claim that Toney nearly fainted at the weigh in?
Simple questions. Why are you avoiding them?

The mere fact I'm repeating this for the 3rd time tells me you're having memory leaks. Why did you miss that in my previous post? I just posted that!!!
Henry Cooper wasn't a sparring partner for Clay, am I right or am I wrong? Doug Jones wasn't a sparring partner for Clay, am I right or am I wrong? Thus, you bringing up Lou is erroneous and out of context, thats why I know you didn't know. Only a neophyte/pleb/casual/etc would bring up Lou because it doesn't make sense to bring it up.
If that's shocking to you, you might want to see a Neurologist and I'm being serious. A man your age shouldn't be having this amount of problems with recall.
Conceding to possibly isn't conceding to anything. You can't use possibly when conceding, basic word logic. Here:
con·cede
kənˈsēd/Submit
verb
1.
admit that something is true or valid after first denying or resisting it.
"I had to concede that I'd overreacted"
2. surrender or yield (something that one possesses).
"to concede all the territory he'd won"
You can't POSSIBLY surrender. You surrender or you don't. You either ADMIT something is true or you don't. You don't POSSIBLY admit, it's not logic and erroneous.
I don't assume jack shít because to assume you do so without proof. I HAVE proof through reasoning. Do you even know what reasoning means or was that not a requirement for basket weaving?
If you don't want to reference facts to back up your claims, I'm not intertested in engaging and you'll be put in cold storage for the duration.
Let's get something straight, I don't give a fùck about you and if you're not here to have an intelligent discussion, you're going to be erased out of my field of vision. Do we understand each other?
