The flat fee is a slap in the face but it’s down to Wilder to say it’s not enough. Not agree then procrastinate and posture on signing because then you get Americans that are confused saying Joshua doesn’t want the fight when there is a signed contract on Team Wilder’s desk.

For me give Wilder 30%-35%. A rematch clause and just sign the contract. You and I both know there was no real intention in them signing the contract. Frankly if Team Wilder had his best interest at heart they wouldn’t. Hence the procrastination and posturing. Most of you know this and it’s perfectly unstandable they would be doing a huge disservice to their client. Baring probably Wilder they are doing cartwheels right now. Why can’t you see that?
Team Joshua and Matchroom Boxing knew exactly what they were doing. They were playing Merry go round during the discussions by not negotiating in good faith.

The delay occurred as a result of them refusing to put in writing exactly what the terms and conditions of the contract were. They were very evasive and vague about it. They left them blank.

No one can sign a contract like that without exercising their due diligence. When Eddie Hearn omitted key logistical aspects of the contract, Team Wilder knew instantly, that they were being scammed and the public too. They are no fools.

Matchroom Boxing couldn't give definitive answers like dates and venue; For Example Like: "Hey Eddie when is the fight?" "Um maybe October or November" because they couldn't write that language in the contract because there would have been a breach had they done so because it was a lie. They knew they weren't going to fight Wilder at all this year. You are intelligent guy. You know I'm telling the truth.

Their plan all along was to set the bout for April 13, 2019 which would have not been a problem if only their lying goddamned asses had the courage to even admit it. That's why I don't blame Deontay Wilder for being pissed off and not signing a goddamned thing because no one likes being hustled or scammed and neither do I.

Fair enough. The thing about a gut feeling is that everything you see or hear reinforces that gut feeling you feel towards a person. Your views and opinion on the matter is set in stone. Impregnable and that’s ok. Peace

Slow clap for this post. This is the way I see it. I saw a recent interview where AJ mentioned the signed contract and said 15M was plenty and that the deal was fair. It gave me the impression that AJ felt that he should be compensated extra for taking on a greater risk of losing. As if to say, if I'm going to lose my belts, it will be for a lot of money and on my terms. I've got know issue with that if that's his thinking, but isn't there a slicker way of going about "hiding" it.

And when others step up and want to fight Joshua, you rush in and start speaking on his bank account. Earn it - like Team Parker.
Maybe if Hearn actually OFFERED 35% he would take it. This negotiation could have been real easy if Hearn would have simply offered the SAME CONTRACT they offered Parker. If Wilder rejected it up it by no more than 5-7%. If Wilder reject that, walk away. Simple....

Now I will try to respond to these points.

              1) Wasn’t the whole point of not arranging the fight for September not to split the North American market during Canelo-GGG on the biggest Mexican holiday? Presumably, with 2 Europeans fighting, they will have enough dollar coming in from the UK and the former Soviet respectively, won’t they? As opposed to fighting Wilder, who already has a low-ish profile without pitting him against that juggernaut of a fight in the U.S, surely?

              2) Re: the 12 week training camp - Since this forum is pro-wilder, most here said that he is the most feared HW around but now you have a problem with Joshua being happy to do a shorter training camp for what most Wilder fans (deludedly) consider to be an inferior fighter in Povetkin? Surely this is a compliment to Wilder who he clearly views as a tougher test? Where’s the contradiction?

              3) WBA deadline - from a news article: Today the WBA requested an answer from Anthony Joshua's team regarding his fight with the mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin.

"It appears the Wilder team have not returned the contract for the fight and therefore we are requesting a date for the Joshua versus Povetkin fight with immediate effect."

The statement reads that they are requesting a “date” for the fight with “immediate effect.” You can have a look through the statement but where does it say that they request a signed contract within a 24 hours?? They said that they wanted and answer and a date.

              4) AJ’s team stalling. So what have Wilder’s team been doing then if not stalling?

Of course, i’m Just speculating and playing devil’s advocate here. I don’t really know what’s going on; just like you. Except I have the benefit of objectivity.
              1. Hearns 40M-50M estimate for the total fight purse seemingly didnt take into account US ppv.

              3. The 24 hour talk came from Hearn. That's what perplexed folks because even if Hearn was responsive to the WBA by providing a date, they never said Joshua couldn't execute a contract with Wilder after the fact.

How is Wilder pricing himself out when AJ is the one who asked for 50m!! Parker got 35% so stfu!!! But Wilder gets a Flat fee? Get the f uck outta here!!!
Guarantee you my points and my being on this site that the UK sells way more than the US for PPV for this fight

If you think American PPV numbers for this will be bigger than the UK buy numbers you don't belong here.

They are Mayweather generation fans, most likely inner city demographic that desperately needs a hero figure in boxing. Wilder is that hero figure they chose to align themselves with. Propaganda is a hell of a drug
