i think that this fight is financially bigger in 2019 than 2018... they are just gathering interest by using the may v pac formula - a few close calls followed by an eventual showdown. hopefully it happens sooner than later as both guys are primed right now.

Yeah they would definitely make more money from it in 2019 than they would in 2018, and i think they both recognised that and are playing it perfectly. It makes sense for everyone involve anyways, from the boxers to the promoters to the TV networks.

That's why they kept fucking with the contract without giving any specifics or definitive answers to the logistics of the contract. They were bluffing all along and the more Team Wilder kept calling their bluff the more they kept moving the goal post; Especially after Deontay Wilder had agreed to all of the terms of the contract with more bullshit lies after bullshit lies.

First, with Joshua can't fight at Wembley in September because of GGG/Canelo, But now he is fighting Povetkin in the same month at Wembley, Secondly Joshua needs a 12 week training camp because 8 weeks is not enough for a fight of this magnitude but yet he is training for Povetkin on just your typical 8 week training camp and lastly, the WBA has ordered a 24 hour deadline to finalize a Povetkin/Joshua bout that took another three weeks to finalize which was another goddamned lie.

It's just more stalling and excuse after excuse from Team Joshua. They never wanted this fight so soon. They felt pressured into a face saving posture to make it happen in order to appease the fans. They always wanted to push this bout back as far as possible.

If I was Deontay Wilder I was just say to Hell with them and that them and their mothers could both kiss his Black ass.
If Wilder agreed to all terms of the contract to fight next, why after several weeks - did he not sign the contract to fight?

I would love to see what the position would be on this threat if the roles were reversed and AJ was B-side, had agreed terms then dropped his pen...

Wilder fans will read this post and reply with the old: 'Give me $50m and I'll fight' line. But that was a 5 second comment in a 30 minute interview... Watch it all then come back.

Obviously people will cling to any biases that suit their argument.

I think it would be funny for Hearn to offer AJ's next opponent (if it's not Wilder) $14,999,999.99 and watch them take the fight.

do you think they'll put Wilder and Breazeale on PPV? It'd be good to do so to test out the buys

People have real issues understanding that matchroom sport isn't a charity.

I’m sure wilder knows he is not getting 50/50 which is no problem but u have to start somewhere. The 50/50 split is more of him saying no more flat fee bs.

He never intended to take the $15m all along. When the contract arrived he stalled.

His own offer to fight in Vegas included a 50/50 split. I think he's just properly deluded. He wanted 50/50 from the start.

                      -----------

Team Parker: Wilder is greedy and killed the deal.

Wilder fanboys: Whatever. They don't know shyt!
That's actually not what he said. He just said asking for 50-50 was trying to steal money and is KILLING the April 2019 fight. Which sounds ludicrous given that we are 9 months out from the fight date.

Wonder if he feels Wilder should get the 30-35% split that they got instead of being offered a flat fee.
