It doesn't matter if he sold 97K but am sure he would sell like 250K on the back of this hype.
Wilder would sell less than Crawford vs Postol, and that was 47,000 buys. Wilder would sell 25,000 for that fight

Because stadium fights are for real boxing fans, not casino gamblers. The average tickets go for $20 up in the rafters. That's where the real fans show up. Not in a casino where half the tickets get comped.

Now that ***** is out, the need for a symbol of blackness is needed even more in boxing, that is why Haymon has developed this con man wilder to take advantage of the uneducated hip hop generation .
Yes, but those are not boxing fans. They are casual fans. True they love themselves some Floyd Mayweather but they hate boxing. Also, the Mayweather TMT crew is riding with Anthony Joshua anyhow and not Deontay Wilder. AJ has even visited the Mayweather gym.

However, I agree that there are some boxing fans in the ****** but the vast majority of them are not. They live in the suburbs and many have professional degrees. Also, by the way what demographic is Anthony Joshua? Isn't he also from that demographic too? That demographic just so happened to have produced some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment history. So I don't know why are you turning this into a color issue?

I really do think he would sell more than that. I hope he does because the HW scene needs it. Because right now he cannot command what he thinks he should be commanding for the AJ to happen.

GGG was in the same position with Canelo. Were you asking him to take a flat fee as well? He held his ground and Canelo and GB gave him a percentage, why? Because they knew that was the biggest fight money wise for Canelo. Just like this is the biggest fight money wise for AJ, difference is Canelo actually wanted the fight and ended up giving GGG a split to make the fight. AJ came out and said he rather take less money to fight at home for his fans instead of taking the 50 million offer. If thats the case, take less money and give Wilder a split if he really wants the fight.

Wilder has priced himself out of a UK fight, the fight happens in October next year when it can be done in Vegas and Wilder will do in house PBC fights against Breazeale and Ortiz.
Of course Parker got less money, Parker/AJ wasn't a big fight that will ever come close to generate the money a AJ/Wilder fight would. GGG got 1 mil to fight Vanes but will make around 20 mil to fight Canelo. Same with Canelo, a fight with GGG with make him way more money than a fight with Liam Smith did. See the difference.

It gave me the impression that AJ felt that he should be compensated extra for taking on a greater risk of losing. As if to say, if I'm going to lose my belts, it will be for a lot of money and on my terms. I've got know issue with that if that's his thinking, but isn't there a slicker way of going about "hiding" it.
But he did also say he would take less money to fight in the UK for his fans than take the 50 mil offer from Wilder. Why not take less money to actually make the fight with Wilder. Canelo and Oscar went from offering a flat fee to actually giving GGG a percentage, Why? Because they actually wanted to make the fight. Same thing with these recent negotiation, Oscar and Canelo wanted the fight and agree to give GGG a bigger split.

SKY doesn't release PPV numbers, yet AJ fans claim he sell millions of PPVs. The biggest PPV was AJ/Wlad, yet Floyd/Mac topped that according to the people at SKY. If AJ was outselling that PPV, SKY and Hearn would be putting out there.

Stadium fights suck bro. I've been to them and its the worst experience. Do people really want to go to a fight that they can even see? You pretty much have to watch the screens to see whats going on. Over crowded bathroom and beer lines. If I wanted to watch a fight on TV, I rather stay home or go to a bar. I'm going to the Mikey fight this weekend, I know I'll be able to actually see the fight without having to look up at the tv screen.

GGG vs Jacob's was on ppv because HBO decided that the purses exceeded their budget. I'm not sure if that will be the case with Wilder Breazeale. Dibella may choose to do so, but it I don't think it will be to prove to folks that Wilder can sell PPV. I think that the past pursues and ppvs sold talk is valued more by fans than it is promoters/managers in negotiations. I could see Wilder Breazeale being on free TV like CBS or purchased by ESPN.
