i think we all agree AJ is the clear A-side and can make big money against anybody. so what would the logic be in wanting to face a dangerous puncher next instead of waiting a little longer?

Your not going to throw 2 punches at a time and have poor technical hooks with no tactical clinching with open defense and defeat Joshua in a boxing match .

Joshua is the one improving not Wilder , Lewis claim has zero to do with the ability to see who should win so the point there fighting at is irrelevant, in this case its in Joshua favor and MOST knowledgeable ppl know he should win even if they wont directly say it on camera !

As far as having to fight Wilder to claim his era ?

Well ask Lewis if he was the dominant fighter of the 90's even though he never fought Bowe ? See what double standard you get there since that guy also thinks Joshua should have moved a little quicker on his resume. lol
Never mind you're a lost cause. You already know what will happen before it happens, just like every poster before you.

The **** are you talking about the WBA gave them a deadline after that they can only schedule for a purse bid WBA can't just strip him because they couldn't agree privately
That's the whole point of purse bid

My personal view was that wilder was initially the favourite and preferred option but as things dragged on, and the inclusion of his DAZN deal it always became less likely because of bigger potential in the next year. Having it in cardiff would have been silly and for all those saying the first fight should have been on America, money is one thing but atmosphere is another. For me personally, if I was wilder or Joshua, money doesn’t mean much over a certain point - so having experienced that klitschko fight atmosphere ; they should both want to experience that too! Hopefully wilder signs the contract or confirms what he isn’t happy with asap so we don’t end up dragging it out further

For a balanced view too, I don’t think wilders team wanted the fight next either. I think they wanted to build the fight up to maximise money. If Joshua loses he still will fight for big paydays. If wilder loses he dissapears, so they need to make sure is maximised more.

"Because Joshua is actually good" is the reason you believe Hearn preferred that Wilder be the next opponent instead of Povetkin? You're not really making any sense.

If the PPV did the amount of buys Hearn predicted it would do, Wilder would be fighting for peanuts so that AJ could have the 50 million he requested. I'd say that proves Wilder wanted the fight pretty bad.

He then agreed to a low ball flat fee to go fight in the UK, agreed to a rematch clause and all UK officials. I'd say that proves Wilder wanted the fight pretty bad.

It wasn't on social media but these are quotes from the Dan Rafael article.

"This took Matchroom by surprise never thinking that Wilder would accept their below-market offer," Finkel said. "Shortly after, Eddie Hearn went public saying that we would receive a contract by Friday, June 15th, when in fact we did not receive a contract until late on Monday, June 18th. On Tuesday June 19th, we requested a clarification of two points. They did not respond. I requested them again on Thursday, June 21st, and we finally received a response on Friday, June 22nd.

"Two days later, on Sunday, June 24th, I sent them a letter acknowledging Eddie's email of June 22, telling them they would have the contract back by Friday, June 29th. Since the contract did not state the date or the venue, I also asked for that information. These are the facts and Matchroom will have the contracts back to them by Friday, June 29th."

At no point does Finkel indicate he will send back a signed contract.

Hearn is insistent that the contract mirrors the terms they agreed to. Finkel has not even disputed this.

All it indicates is that it would have taken 11 days to send a contract back. We have no idea if it's even signed. The two comments weren't even an issue.

Then why is AJ a 16 to 1 favorite over Povetkin, but only a 2 to 1 favorite over Wilder? You're not making any sense.
