So the big A side has to make do with only getting 20 mill more than a 2 bit nobody who can't sell tickets and only earns 1.5 mill a fight? Get out of here you crazy idiot. Wilder deserves nowhere near to that kind of money. No one in their right mind would make such an offer to a lowly nobody. Wilder should be thankful he's getting 15 mill because he sure as hell doesn't deserve it nor has he earned that kind of payday.
honest question for AJ fans

You continue to lie on your own thread .
The contract stated a rematch would take place IF Wilder won , in which the second fight would take place in the U.S and Wilder gets 50% so who is the coward again ?

The 50 million US offer is what we were discussing. That term sheet clearly stated no interim fights, no rematches, no options, no nothing. So the other poster is incorrect when they suggested AJ would have had to commit long term to Showtime. Win or lose, AJ would have had no further obligations to anybody.Comment

If you'd stick to the facts, maybe we could have a productive discussion. A-sides often complain about not making as large of a percentage increase over their usual purse compared to B-sides in huge megafights. If you wanted to explore the merits of that argument, I'd be happy to discuss it with you.
But by resorting to lying, by saying Wilder can't sell tickets and only earns 1.5 million per fight, the conversation becomes fruitless.
Showtime's guarantees were based on a 62.5/37.5 split. AJ vs Parker was a 66/33 split. 37.5% for Wilder is very reasonable considering he's so much more popular than Parker, is from the US instead of New Zealand (US is far more lucrative), and holds the most valuable title (WBC) while Parker held the least valuable (WBO).
However, AJ was favored 6 to 1 over Parker, making the fight far more attractive to Hearn. AJ is favored 16 to 1 over Povetkin, making the fight far more attractive to Hearn. AJ is only favored 2 to 1 over Wilder, meaning the fight is by far the most dangerous fight for AJ and therefore the least appealing to Hearn.Comment

Not being ****** at all. This is the hurt business. You go where the money is, hopefully you save that money, and you get out before it's too late.
Nobody in the history of the sport has ever taken 15 million less for home advantage. Nobody in the history of the sport has ever said, the fight only generates 50 million in my country, it generates 100 million in your country, but let's fight in my country anyway.
Nobody, ever, in the history of boxing has been so afraid of losing that they would take so much less for a fight to try to gain any small advantage they could.Comment

Because you work for Haymon doing propaganda for his fighters, you're not going to like the truth so try and twist things to suit. So you're right, it is fruitless discussing anything with you.Comment

The IBO has sporadically had some incredible champions, especially at heavyweight (they give the belt away for free at heavyweight, with no sanctioning fees, which is why the recognized champion usually agrees to carry it around in addition to their other belts).
But the IBO has never been considered a world title. The majority of their divisions are usually vacant. They don't have enough clout to enforce mandatories. The major promoters largely ignore them. No major network recognizes them. They're largely irrelevant.
The only thing they have going for them is that they've consistently survived since 1993 without any major collapse ala the IBA & WBU, and therefore are the most well known of the unrecognized titles.Comment

He sells the most tickets of any American fighter. Over 14,000 for his last fight, at incredibly expensive ticket prices. He generates more revenue than any heavyweight other than AJ. He's the clear #2 both in the ring and at the box office. So if the amount of tickets he sells disqualifies him from being able to fight AJ, that means AJ has to retire because there's nobody for him to fight that fits your standards.
It's a lie. Everybody knows files purses are bogus and even if they were legit, the filed purse for his last fight was over 2 million.Saying Wilder earns 1.5 mill a fight usually isn't lying, it's the truth.
Several Haymon fighters have publicly admitted the filed purses are bogus, the head of Showtime has publicly admitted the files purses are bogus. Haymon's fighters, including Wilder, have laughed at Hearn's DAZN offers even though they've been much higher than the filed purses, with the fighters saying the DAZN offers are less than they really make.
Unless you really believe Cotto only made 700k for his retirement fight?!?
100% false. I don't work for Haymon and never have.Because you work for Haymon doing propaganda for his fighters, you're not going to like the truth so try and twist things to suit. So you're right, it is fruitless discussing anything with you.
I've seen a lot of guesses as to who pays me and nobody has been even close. I'll give one final hint and it's the last I'm discussing of it. The organization paying me to post here isn't even involved in boxing (yet).Comment
