Golovkin got 30% in the first fight, and didn't win.

Not only did he not win, he again put his life on hold to wait on Alvarez, so much so that he's ready to give up one of his "precious" belts to fight Alvarez again.

In what world is such thirst grounds to raise Golovkin's take by 50%, when he has nothing that Alvarez actually wants? lol.

50-50 is more than fair since Canelo got busted on PEDS. A cheat doesn't hold the cards here the champion who holds the belt does.

Certainly the people saying he "Deserves 50/50" are letting their **** riding get in the way of basic supply and demand.

GGG should get 30% and thank the his lucky stars or go back to making $1 million on HBO. If Floyd or Pacquiao were fighting GGG they would give him a $5 million flat fee and a % of the ppv, now all of a sudden all the B-sides want 40-50%.

GBP needs to lower the offer to 30%, they will come back begging for that 35%, if not for September certainly for May.

If neither side budges, then no fight. I'm sure if Canelo's team agrees to one of the two numbers I mentioned, you would have no problem with that right? Cause you are not a financials fan, you are a fight fan and want to see the fight, right? If it doesnt happen because both sides are firm then it is what it is and both guys have great fights in the division they can make. Boxing is bigger than one fight, two fighters, they are not the two last boxers on earth. *** em. But 50/50 is not realistic.

many would say, Canelo gets the same credit. I don't think either deserved a win or draw vs ggg.

Golovkin fought the first fight for 30% of the take, against a fighter having his first fight at 160, and didn't win.

It's not on Canelo to pay extra to make up for Golovkin choosing to fight a bum for even shorter money to make sure he stays in the Canelo lottery.
held his ground? But jacobs didn't? You seem to forget that Canelo also had a fight over 160 right before he fought ggg. I don't know what your point is, but Canelo didn't deserve a draw vs ggg. He was outlanded and outworked and at no point was he a dynamic offensive force as you make it sound. In fact, that was the most passive Canelo has ever fought.

now that's how you do a Sep 15 super card.

I don't know if they could pull it off , but man that **** would sell crazy
There's zero chance of Canelo fighting Charlo (or Jacobs) next

He'd get beaten and GBP know it

Fair enough. I think even a 60-40 for Canelo is still fair but Triple g asking for 50% then that's straight ducking.
Nobody is gonna get half in a fight with Canelo , I don't care who it is.

Plus it makes a ton of money.
I understand all that. But come on.

I see your perspective and I understand it because I am a fan of this game. You raise fair points, I get it.

But come on man...after what’s gone on nobody can possibly sit back in their armchair with their bag of chips and say they support Canelo in all this.

Supporting Canelo and loving the sport of boxing DO NOT go hand in hand. Those two paradigms cant exist alongside each other.
