Sure. Make him pay a little more. But 50/50 would be insane. Seems pretty obvious GGG would settle for 60/40.

maybe, maybe not. Losing the IBF title, and the threat of a pretty solid breach of contract lawsuit has to sweeten the pot substantially.

I agree though that 50-50 is a non starter. But you have to begin somewhere.

I would suspect that somewhere between 60-40 and 55-45 would get it done, with GGG agreeing to waive any possible damages over the May 5 cancellation.........

        • they had a deal

after the first fight, both parties agreed to A FAIR DEAL that was good enough to get the job done

but now..... suddenly Hypekin wants more money lol

imho, Golovkin knows that he will lose in September if he faces Canelo now..... so he will seek an easier path to break Hopkins record, just like he did with Vanes

I have never seen anything from Golovkin to suggest that he will not take the easy way out, AGAIN!!

and if that happens, I will firmly believe that decision was made immediately following/or just prior to - the Vanes fight6..... when every single member of Team Bullshht started name-dropping Murata

          • ggg You will get your contract rates or you will get your contract cancelled. If you don’t like it, then you can crawl back down that **** hole that you came from.

            • Really!

So Gennady has four belts made concessions for the last fight and has tested clean his whole career. And Oscar wants that kind of split? Regardless of who your pulling for the demands Canelo is asking for is beyond reasonable. In fact, it's a bull**** ploy to make the other fighter look scared and doesn't want to fight. Canelo is full of shot and that offer defies common sense not matter who you pulling for.

Canelo is not asking anything from ggg he's offering him.it's his fight his ppv his bone to throw ggg is not obligated to accept if he feels he is worth more than he can go and get it somewhere else.

                • Canelo probably doesn't want the Golovkin fight now ... seeing he can't get "BIG" on his "Mexican Meat" this time.

I can only say what I have seen in decades of following boxinrg. Namely errors, transgressions and even a few losses are all fogotten if a fighter can come back and string a line of convincing wins together.

I'm not saying Canelo's reputation is teflon coated but he is still young - he can have a dip for 18 months and then come back stronger than ever - but in the end we need evidence in the form of his ppv sales dipping or maintaining - we dont have that info yet.
Yes my bad. Of course you are forgetting cost which is the time span those three fights take vs. one fight.

Of course this is all subjective. I clearly believe Canelo has been diminished. The only way to redeem himself is by beating named opponents. The biggest name out there and most significant is Golovkin. If he does not face him he is going to always live with the legacy of the fight and aftermath with Golovkin. The hardcore Mexican fanbase is going to remember that. Canelo's crossover star beyond the Mexican market is gone IMO.

Mayweather and tyson's biggest paydays were after scandal.canelo didn't loose any endorsements the fight got more interest and tickets started selling faster after the +result.lomanchenko never rematched salido and he's doing fine.Canelo has enough fans and haters that will pay to see him win or lose the same haters that root and claim to be fans of ggg but are unwilling to pay for him against someone not named canelo.
