And I did say, that boxing is weird in that the best do not necessarily get paid the most. Canelo gets huge paydays no matter who he fights. That is a fact. G does not. That is also a fact. Exactly man. There is no legacy here, there is no career defining moment and there is no conclusion of who is ‘the man’.

GGG is the one with the belts, he’s the one that won the actual fight (in the eyes of anyone in possession of sanity) and most importantly he’s not the one with the dirtied name and reputation.

Fúck Canelo and fúck Oscar. You can not claim to be a fan of boxing as a sport AND claim to be a fan of theirs. Those two situations are NOT hand in hand.

Meh, I disagree. It was a close fight that I do believe GGG won, but still, a close fight. Went in the books as a draw, and Canelo is the lineal champ. This fight is very much about legacy. Whoever wins has a huge feather in their cap and a very big name on their resume.

Plus it makes a ton of money.

Anyone who thinks GGG deserves more than a 35% split is trippin. Canelo might make half as much fighting anyone else but GGG will make 10X less fighting anyone else. 10X>2X simple math folks

1. Jacobs landed more punches on ggg than Canelo did so saying he was tagged more than ever before is false and sounds like you're a bit of a Canelo fan girl. Jacobs has a better argument to a draw vs ggg than Canelo does. 2. I never said ggg should get 50 %. I just said he should get more than 35% based on what transpired in leading up to the rematch getting cancelled.

Canelo held his ground, boxed smart when he needed to, and landed clean and flush shots on Golovkin in every round that he had the energy to fight in. Compubox can say what it wants, the fact it look near three rounds for Jacobs to realize that he'd been lied to about the Boogeyman hampers the sense of his performance.

Golovkin fought the first fight for 30% of the take, against a fighter having his first fight at 160, and didn't win.

It's not on Canelo to pay extra to make up for Golovkin choosing to fight a bum for even shorter money to make sure he stays in the Canelo lottery.

Small price to pay for Cotto’s scalp and being in the books as the wbc and lineal champ. He doesnt need thoss titles anymore because he’s already down as it.

We also don’t know how big of a diva Cotto was being so there’s also that. But everyone knows, when you want the fight bad enough, you give in some areas to very big names. Canelo knew Cotto didn’t have long and if he waa going to get to him first, it’d cost.
