I don't even care about the fight to be honest. The first fight was somewhat lackluster. I also guarantee that it will not do nearly as good in sales as their first fight. When you look at the bad decision, Canelo getting popped for PEDs, and the long winded negotiations, people just lose interest.Comment

Trust me I know...Part of me thinks GGG should move on and forget the Canelo rematch coz most people think he won anyway AND he’s not the one with the dirtied name. What are you talking about? GGG is the champ chasing a guy not even ranked currently. Why don't you want GGG to fight his Mando? That's what real fans want not some Champ begging and crying because someone wont give him money. He should move on.
If you were ok with him fighting Vanes for no damn reason, then fighting his Mandos should be great.
I’m not supporting Golovkin chasing Canelo, it is actually annoying that he seems to want it so much when legacy wise he can move on, he just isn’t.
My post was actually about Canelo being a little spoiled bítch and Oscar being his enabler anyway though. I agree that Golovkin can and probably should move on.Last edited by SthPaw; 05-27-2018, 02:55 PM.Comment

I'm more or less in agreement with you. I was looking forward to the GGG/Canelo rematch, but as a GGG fan and a BJS fan, I would much rather see them fight each other for all 4 MW belts.I know you're a die-hard GGG fan, so I sincerely request you're opinion. Do you think GGG should seriously consider Bob Arum's offer to fight Murata in Tokoyo, or should he keep trying to get a better deal with Canelo? I don't understand the strategy of continuously beating up Canelo in the press for being a PED cheat, and then begging for a 50/50 split. Canelo does nothing for his legacy, because since beating Cotto @ 155, Canelo has not proven he's a great MW fighter. I think GGG should fight Murata or Saunders next, and then try to re-negotiate for Cinco de Mayo 2019! What's your take?
The Murata fight is also very interesting. From what I've heard about Murata, and from what I know about the way those Jap fans support their heroes with almost fanatical intensity, I think it would be a very exciting event that would bring in the money. Golovkin also has a lot of fans in Asia, btw.
I also don't want to see GGG lose his IBF belt, so if not Saunders, then Derevyanchenko should be his next opponent. I don't know how good Dervy is, but he's aggressive and powerful, so that would be an exciting fight that could make quite a lot of money, with time to promote it properly. Certainly a lot more than it would have made if they'd fought this month.
I'm surprised at GGG increasing his financial demand from Canelo all the way up to a 50/50 split, and equally surprised that Oscar seems to think he should be happy with the terms they agreed for May ... as if Canelo testing positive and getting banned had never even happened!
It's possible they could both be playing a long game, knowing that if they keep the **** talk going for another 6 months, or maybe another year, it will be an even more lucrative fight than it would be this Sept.Comment

You are the one worrying about his legacy. I'm talking about the current MW Champ GGG. He should move on and stop holding the division hostage. Why are you so concerned about Canelo's legacy? GGG wants 50%, Canelo said no, GGG needs to get up and leave go fight his mando. You can keep trying to act like Canelo vs GGG is a Legacy fight, its not. You say money doesn't determine legacy, then tell GGG to get off of his knees and start making some good fights. I'm sure you don't think Vanes was a Legacy fight.GGG vs Ward would have been a legacy fight but I bet you didn't want that smoke for GGG."Legacy crap" - your own childish language can be used to summarize Canelo's legacy. If you think he's done enough for his legacy, you clearly don't think highly of him. I think he can and should do more, if he has what it takes (without PEDs). At the moment, Canelo's legacy is how much money he makes. Money doesn't determine legacy.Comment

Canelo doesn't need sht. Didn't you hear them say the rematch is dead and they're moving on? yet Loeffler is still sniffing asses begging for more money. It’s not about the A side or B side, the PED user (meat or not) has something to prove. Nelo got a gift with a draw on the first fight and then tested positive for eating that meat right before the rematch. If he moves on the Charlo, DJ are waiting for his azz and Oscar don’t want that. ODLH wants Spike and you are OK with it. Canelo needs GGG more than GGG needs him.
What makes you think Canelo won't fight DJ or Charlo? remember he fought Lara against his promoters wishes. Canelo fights anybody.
and if he fights Spike I'll be the first one to sht on that fight so don't worry lol. Nobody wants to see that mess.Comment

That's what bothers me the most, that people act like this fight means anything. It's just a money fight for both fighters and if they cant agree move on .Trust me I know...Part of me thinks GGG should move on and forget the Canelo rematch coz most people think he won anyway AND he’s not the one with the dirtied name.

Between the claims that GGG dominated the first fight. And explications as to why GGG deserves 50% of the purse, or more. I’m convinced that GGG’s fanboys are a collection of some of the ******est people this world has to offer.Comment
