    • Canelo exploiting a dumbed down fan base. Real boxing fans know ggg dominated Canelo and ggg is the better fighter despite being passed his prime.

Canelo cheated and still couldn't win, and ggg knows Canelo was dirty the first fight and he isn't laying down to get robbed like the first time without being compensated.

GGG should focus on eliminating the two USA hopes in Charlo and Andrade, destroying them will suppress the haters vitriol in the hood for ggg and give him the bragging rights of eliminating more overrated privledged USA fighters.

But anyway.. we seem to be focused a bit too much on GGG while leaving Canelo out of equation. Let's look at this from imaginary Canelo's perspective. First of all, nobody in the MW division is going to help him generate as much PPV and money as GGG. Especially with the bad blood, cancelled fight and PEDs. He will make much more than GGG would without Canelo in any event, but still not as much as with GGG. This difference gives more bargaining power to GGG, but it should also allow Canelo to compromise more.

Here is what I don't get. Canelo believes he won the first fight. He believes he can beat him. Why not sacrifice this 10-15% for the legacy and even greater future profits? If Canelo beats GGG, he is one step away from becoming an undisputed champion in the MW division. And, let's be honest, BJS will sell that belt probably without a fight. And, further, is anyone here who really thinks BJS is going to beat Canelo? In 2019 Canelo, if he makes this sacrifice, can become the undisputed. He does not need to painstakingly collect belts one after another like GGG did. No, its all there lined up for him ready for a grab. And once he's become undisputed, coupled with his already massive PPV power, he will be able to command any split he wants because at that point Mayweather would envy his leverage. He will not be the A side. He will become the Alpha and Omega of boxing. All it takes is cut short in one fight. And its not like he will starve doing this, right?..

Unless, of course, he does not have the confidence to beat him. Then none of the above matters. And I can understand how demotivating it must be: landing your best shots practically flush and a second later your opponent is still in your face trying to pulverize you.

If I had to sacrifice something for a real chance to grab something I never had and most only dream of, I'd do it. Why wouldn't Canelo? A "face of boxing" with no belts (and with no ambition to have them) and PED reputation. What a face that is.
The fact that Canelo had to resort to performance boosters indicates he doesn't have the confidence to beat him. Heck, who knows how long he's been doing it. That just tells you he's mentally weak. He's not fighting any elite 160s without performance enhancers. And if he does, he gets KTFO. I've said this before but I think he's going to fight Spike next without PEDs and see if he still has it at 160.

Why is the Champ holding the damn division hostage?

Let me add this: He already beat the Lineal MW champion, so all of that legacy crap you wrote is useless.

Sometimes in life people do just say F it. If they aren't willing to do better I do not need them. Golovkin is a man who has already made a good deal of money and he is going to make more. Telling Canelo to F off after all the BS he caused because he won't concede anymore money is understandable to me.

The person's rep who is going to hurt more by this fight not taking place is Canelo. He should have some incentive beyond just money to make this fight happen.
Sure it's a negotiating tactic. And sure too that people do say **** it. And sometimes based on principles and sometimes on wanting to mess up somebody else.
But in this case, Team GGG need to understand that from both a professional and business point of view it makes more sense to fight Canelo and also 35% is not the end of the world at all.
I disagree that Canelo's rep suffers. Casual fans will forgive and then forget transgressions and it is the casual support that makes a ppv star.
Canelo can make the same as he would against Golovkin by fighting Spike then Lemieux and then Andrade - and have a better chance of staying unbeaten than fighting Golovkin or Charlo/Jacobs/BJS.
In short, taking a long term perspective Canelo has zero need for Golovkin.

c'mon man, GGG is not going to destroy Charlo and Andrade. They are good young fighters and GGG is what 37? Even if GGG were to win, it won't be easy. I give Charlo a chance to beat GGG.

                    Jacobs
                    Monroe Jr

                    Very strong list here...….

The funny thing is that you thought you were boosting GGG, instead all you have done is say he has beat bums. I agree 100%
